Cheers for posting, Sandy. Getting my vote in early, and inevitably, for the E-Type - which, for one (special birth)day only, I once had the pleasure to hire for a circuit of North Yorkshire!

Absolutely has to be the E-Type for me too. A truly beautiful machine.

I think this one is going to be unanimous! E-Type for me too. Some nice choices there, Mini-Me!

I'll probably be the only one bucking the trend on this one but I'm not really that much of a E-Type fan!! My vote this week goes to the mighty Ford Escort!! In it's various variations over the years it was the car when I was in school everyone wanted when they "grew up"!! The RS2000, The RS Turbo and of course the RS Cosworth were always the cars that everyone stopped and stared at when one ever went past in the street! If I can't just have the Escort then i'll narrow it down to the RS Cosworth which takes it by a spoiler fin!

Some good choices there Macc Jnr. My vote also goes to the E Type with the mighty Escort in 2nd. I've never had the pleasure to drive an E Type but would love to.
But also spare a thought for the Essex Pacemaker...bound to make your heart beat faster.

This brings back memories. My first car was a Ford Escort 1300 if memory serves. Let my sister borrow it one day and she pulled out in front of a Volvo Estate which hit it amidships and bent it irreparably boo hoo. The only thing wrong with the E - Type is that it's not in British Racing Green.

Nice choices Maccy Jnr (and everyone else, of course!) but it has to be the E-Type getting our vote.

Edd China's replacement, Ant Anstead really did do a fantastic job on this extra wing told you, many moons ago, that he was very good on that philip glennister one as well. they do some amazing things with some very knackered vehicles.
e-type for me too. although that concept cocoon thing is probably all my childhood sci-fi car fantasies in one tasty package.
has everyone had an escort? mine was for three or four months, a 1.6 old 'd' reg which i can't be bothered to work out but was probably about 1987. it always felt unconnected to the road, with no feedback at all; and then the gearbox went coming off the M1 into south leeds. boo. absolute dog, but they clearly weren't all like that because it was a phenomenally successful motor.
cheers macc jnr.

'For the love of cars' it was called, which I'll have to download or watch online at some point as it sounds like good viewing! Speaking of E-Type jags and Edd China, he helped launch a YouTube series recently called 'Built by many', where they're going to restore a barn find E-Type over the next year or so. Edd has since been unable to commit himself to the show due to other projects, but they say he's going to appear at some point. Here's the link to their tube channel, with the first episode already up: www.youtube.com/channel/UClJeuMpHS_J8nQi3pcH2K9Q
