Ah, I think I may have mis-read your previous post about Mini-Herm and assumed you were both doing it, but I'll check my list when I'm back at work next week!

Right, apologies for the delay, but all the spaces have indeed been filled, and having allocated you all random numbers (which correspond with the letters of the alphabet), here is the running order:
A – Sandy
B – Epworth
C – Mini-Herm
D – Gazz
E – Macc Jnr
F – Lennie
G – Market Harborough
H – Maccy
I – Another Ruined Saturday
J – Dudley
K – Lennie
L – Mini-Herm
M – Hermann
N – gts
O – Ceefer
P – Epworth
Q – Dudley
R – Macc Jnr
S – Another Ruined Saturday
T – Gazz
U – Market Harborough
V – gts
W – Hermann
X – ?
Y – Maccy
Z – Ceefer
We can always swap around if people are unavailable when it's their turn.
At the moment, I'll just start us off with Week A, and will try to come up with something for Week X too, but we may have to skip that week.
CHEAP will start shortly!

Excellent. Very pleased to have 'B'. Now all I need to decide it which three BMW models to choose...
On a more serious note, can I check if the letter applies to the manufacturer or model or either? For example, is a Beetle a B or a V? I'd happily have it in B, but would hate to deprive gts of the option. Although I guess Herbie could be under H, so it might appear 3 times!

Yes, sorry Eps (and everyone else), I had meant to clarify this but time ran away with me at work and I forgot.
The letter relates to the make/manufacturer and not the model. So Ford Escort and Ford Kuga would both feature under F.
Cheers

here's a possibility for week 'x' sandy - although being a 70s fiat it was almost bound to be sh*t, and this is probably the coolest looking one ever...and still isn't that great: better than an x-trail anyway...

Ah, but wouldn't that be under Week F, for Fiat?

Maybe you could take Week X as a ‘wild card’ week, sandy? As the one organising the whole thing you get free choice for that week.

I like the sound of that!

My other suggestion was going to be an 'x-rated' week where someone selects the three worst cars of all time. However, reading CHEAP A, it seems len and ars have already started...

While I do like the wild card idea, I think we need to be flexible on this naming rule - but not just for the reason ars has highlighted with the X-19.
If someone wanted to suggest the Aston DB7, for example, it's never going to beat the DB5, whereas allowing the flexibility of using the 'D' category may see both making the final list.
Just a suggestion, guys.

Ah, but wouldn't that be under Week F, for Fiat? of course. i have now re-read the rules (and forgotten them again). feel free to prod me along with a sharpened stick if necessary.

I'm happy to go along with the majority, if everyone would prefer more flexibility, I just didn't want someone cheesed off that one or more of their nominations has already been nicked by someone else, leaving them limited.
By keeping the letter to just the manufacturer, it might limit choices (for example, I could have easily picked three Astons this week), but at least everyone knows where they stand, and that's part of the challenge!
If, for example, three Ferraris are nominated in Week F, others can still make a case for the Ford Escort!
I think it works better that way, but absolutely happy to make it more flexible if I'm outvoted!
