Just assuming that we don't make the play-offs, and if we do we don't succeed in raising ourselves out of National North Conf., who might we be playing next year ?
National Conf Relegation:- Guiesley, Chester, Torquay, Solihull (bottom 4). Hartlepool, Orient, Barrow, Woking in the mix
National Conf North Promotion:- Salford, Harrogate, Brackley, Kidderminster, Blyth, Spennymoor, York , Stockport, Southport, Chorley
National Conf South Promotion:- Havent, Dartford, Hampton, St Albans, Truro, Chemlsford, Welling, Hemel H, Braintree.
National Conf North Relegation:- N Ferriby, Gaisborough, Curzon A, Telford, Alfreton, Tamworth, Boston, FCUM, Leamington
National Conf South Relegation:- Whitehawk, Bognor, Poole, Hungerford, Concorde, Chippenham, Oxford, Eastbourne
Northern Premier Promotion:- Altrincham, Warrington, Ashton, Farsley, Grantham, Shaw Lane, Witton
Midland League Promotion:- Hereford, Kings Lynn, Weymouth, Kettering, Slough, Chesham, Tiverton, Royston
Southern League Promotion:- Dulwich, Billericay, Folkestone, Margate, Staines, Hendon, Leiston, Leatherhead
I will update this from time to time over the next few weeks (not a full list but staying with those with a realistic chance of play-offs. Bold letters for those possibly coming up't north.
Some interesting new names (and a few old "friends" trying to return to former glories). Could be 4 northern teams coming down.
We could see Hereford, Alty, Warrington and even Kings Lynn, Kettering or Oxford heading our way. Ashton Utd replacing Curzon Ashton ? The North/South split could be heading nearer to London again.
Sorry, I just had a spare hour to waste.

Good stuff, Lennie.
All 'ifs' and 'ands' at the moment, of course - but if (as seems likely) three or even four northern outfits drop from the National League, and/or King's Lynn win promotion, we should see Brackley shifted across to the National League South... unless the 'Saints' fail to go up. Either way, we should end up bidding farewell to our nemesis-club!

Great research there, Lennie, with some interesting potential opponents.
Nice work, mate.

nemesis this season maccy, but we've had a couple of decent wins down there and we found a pub that did really good food!
i'm going to do a little dance of bad luck to the yorkshire footballing gods as soon as i've posted this - let's have guiseley back please...
wouldn't mind seeing kettering come up either. are they still playing at nene park? not a great ground, but it looks like what it once was - a lower division league ground. having been to the friendly last summer, i'm not sure how ashton utd would cope with us. there's a reasonable amount of room on that terrace, but it was pretty basic and another step down from the likes of staly who we've taken large numbers to. i think parking would be a bit thin for the county hordes too, unlike at curzon.

Nene Park was demolished last year, exile.
Kettering's latest ground-share is at Burton Park Wanderers' place in Burton Latimer - although I think that a move back to the town is still on the agenda...

doesn't anybody in that region ever play in the town bearing the club's name? or indeed a town that anybody's heard of? it took us long enough to find irthlingborough...
cheers for the info though.

wow. that new ground certainly is a bit different. on the far side is a fine selection of stands, catering huts, toilets, and a large and nasty recreation of a manor house, complete with player's tunnel.

Might be nice and easy if its 2 northern teams and 2 southern teams. Champions coming up to our level: only Hereford confirmed but Alti and Billericay look to be the contenders from the other leagues. Play offs are still a lottery - only the Southern league teams are fully confirmed: Kings Lynn, Weymouth, Kettering and Slough Bet a few more bits are confirmed tonight in terms of teams possibly coming up to our level But then we are in the play offs and we may well go up in which case we will in all likelihood look horns with Chesterfield and Barnet coming down from the Football League
