I had to wait a couple of hours before finally registering my signature with a valid click on the e-mail link - so, possibly, me... i never received the email, so have had to email them instead as per the website. bit worrying that just on here, i've not had the email and you've had to keep trying to validate yours - hope we're not losing people.

looking at the map, the areas of lowest response seem to mostly fall into two categories: rural, where the population is probably older overall, and...well here's a list of some places in the lowest response category which aren't rural:
sunderland middlesborough hartlepool redcar darlington carlisle barrow workington blackpool blackburn burnley halifax bradford dewsbury wakefield barnsley doncaster scunthorpe cleethorpes mansfield stoke telford wolverhampton dudley (sorry duds) west bromwich nuneaton luton barking dagenham
perhaps people in those towns do want to protest about their lot. not sure that leaving the EU will kick start their sprint away from the index of multiple deprivation.

UK Government: Declare a Climate Emergency Now - then Act Like itOur climate is breaking down. Rising seas and more frequent extreme weather events are putting tens of millions of lives around the world at risk. Here in the UK, the government is totally failing to do what's needed in the face of the crisis.
We need them to put the emergency brake on now and start turning the ship around - the climate won't grant us any extensions.Call on the UK government to declare a Climate Emergency now and then act like it.SIGN THE PETITION To: UK government "We are calling on you to declare a Climate Emergency now - and then to act like it. For starters, that means: (1) Banning all new oil and gas production in the UK, including fracking (2) Tripling renewable energy by 2030 (3) Planting 700 million trees (4) Introducing a Frequent Flyer Tax (5) Ending the sale of all new petrol and diesel cars by 2030 (6) Rolling out free bus travel for young people and those on lower incomes (7) Ending carbon emissions from heavy industry like steel and cement (8) Creating millions of jobs in a new green economy (9) Retrofitting our homes to go zero carbon (10) Radically changing the farming and food system to encourage a less meat-based diet" tinyurl.com/y4g2d7fo"We don't inherit the earth from our ancestors. We borrow it from our children." - David Brower.

To: ITV Permanently cancel the Jeremy Kyle Show Why is this important? For years, the Jeremy Kyle Show has turned the real-life suffering of people into entertainment. Now, after the death of a guest, ITV have suspended the show - and calls are growing for it to be cancelled permanently. The Jeremy Kyle Show is famous for humiliating people on national television with lie detector and DNA tests. Guests are goaded into arguing about personal conflicts and relationship problems in front of a studio audience. A judge described the show as a “human form of bear baiting". Sign the petition and tell ITV to end the Jeremy Kyle Show for good. you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/permanently-end-the-jeremy-kyle-show?bucket=email-blast-14_5_2019_jkws&utm_campaign=blast2019-05-14&utm_medium=email&utm_source=

Kyle has been binned - at last! www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-48279613I don't know if the fact that it ran for more than 14 episodes, let alone 14 years, says more about ITV or the people who tuned in to watch it. A horrible programme fronted by a horrible individual - good riddance. My thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who took his own life.

The epitome of all that is wrong in our society being given a far too public outing. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
