howard's just had a chance, but a few seconds before pure reckon county should have conceded a pen. the ever-annoying phil staley reckons it was 'as certain a penalty' as he's ever seen. the ref, sian massey, indicated she thought our defender had taken the ball.

Radio Macc: Half-time, and still just the single, soft goal in it. Telford had more of the game prior to scoring, although County have, thankfully, woken up a little since - with Oates looking our 'man most likely to'. Sian Massey is the woman in black, and has done well to spot a couple of Telford dives in the County box. Andy Gray is nowhere to be seen... Not out of this one yet... and we have until 5pm to put it right!

Radio Macc:
Second half begins, with Battersby making his debut (in place of Moke, who struggled with the heavy pitch).

Radio Macc:
Dicko on for Howard. The Twelfth Man is in fine voice behind the goal that County are attacking, as we strive for that equaliser...

Radio Macc:
All over. A soft pitch, and two rather soft goals. And now heavy hail is falling, as it's time to leave. Lovely...

Sort of inevitable, I suppose.
Onward and upward.
Cheers for the updates.

Well that was all a bit disappointing. Not the heaveners convention. The team just weren't as hungry as Telford, a couple of slight mistakes in midfield areas and they broke quickly behind the full backs to cross for a tap in. The two penalties could have been given another day but they weren't penalties so well spotted referee! Second half was a better showing, thought Battersby made some good runs and looked lively, Jeavons looked dead on his feet for the last 25 minutes. Dicko looked strangely lacklustre after coming on. Moke had to go off at half time, he had offered just about nothing. Oates looked quite useful but none of them seems to have packed their shooting boots. Even in the warm up we in the Heavenly Collective were in mortal danger from most of the shots

thanks duds. you're broadly in agreement with both pure and my brother, but they both reckoned the first 'penalty' incident was an absolute cert. at least it was a relatively handy one for you even though the outcome has probably punctured everybody's bubble a bit.

It was funny passing the turn for Telford today at 11. I was on a 'thank you' trip care of Birmingham CAMRA Beer & Cider a Festival in Shrewsbury. Went to Salopian Brewery there and some good pubs in the city, plus three on way back. Leamington should be my next game.

After getting stuck on the M6 thought it would be a bad day .
However our fans made more noise than all of there's put together.
Hopefully the team will be rested for next Saturdays match, as they looked tired. Pitch was rubbish and their players diving antics was a joke.
Still think playing part time puts us at a disadvantage.
Lets get out of the blocks quickly next Saturday and really take the game to Solihull.
And we need a good crowd at Fortress Edgeley again .......12th man.

Agreed, ceefer. I'm hoping to get to the game next weekend myself, funds and work commitments permitting.
I saw the link on YB1 regarding the Telford forum, some of the sh*t they posted on there is comical, having the cheek to sarcastically label us as a 'big' club. Truth be told, while we are technically a 'has-been' club right now, at least we've been something those clowns will never be.
