Thanks for the silver Archie, It's been so long that i've been on here that I had to ask for directions!!! Well done Maccy and Eppy on your 3rd and 1st with some cracking lines and as always I doff my cap to the grandmaster rhyming wonder that is Sir Lenard for keep them coming.

Decent variety and quality this week but only room for 3 on the podium. Bronze to Maccy with 'Had Ready Brek, so I'm starting to glow!' An unnatural practice but done in private. Silver to Cf who went the extra mile letter and a correct forecast with 'Jumping and cheering 3 goals will keep all County fan's aglow!' But gold goes to Eppy who offered "With ‘folks dressed up like Eskimo...’" but resisted the temptation of suggesting whose chestnuts should be roasted on an open fire. Just to add the usual thanks to Lennie for the lines.

Yay! Thanks archie. I'm in Dubai airport feeling very tired after a stressful week, so this is a nice little boost! (I'll clutch at any straw going at the moment). Weird experience last night of an evening meal in 25C heat surrounded by Christmas decorations (including a tree that talks to you), palm trees, sandstone buildings and Jingle Bells in Italian being interrupted by a call to prayer. Only in Dubai.

Yes, with slightly fewer calls to prayer, I imagine! I guess you must have got used to it by now, downy, but dinner outside at 10pm and 24C just feels wrong!

And having read back my post, please forgive my rude manners: well played my fellow podiumists and thanks to len - a bit like Steve Smith - not one false shot on your way to the triple century.

And having read back my post, please forgive my rude manners: well played my fellow podiumists and thanks to len - a bit like Steve Smith - not one false shot on your way to the triple century. Much appreciated. Always aiming to please. The brilliant creative responses each week make the whole thing worthwhile.
