The Second Round/Quarter-finals draw has now been made, and we have a trip to 'Vegas... sometime in the first half of February, I would think:

mary's preparing her snide tweets as we speak... I know it's still a hot point with her, but if you ask me it'll be like taking Candy from a baby - I guess it'll all come out in the wash. Neff said.

Difficult to imagine quite how soon we may now have our night in 'Vegas, given that the week commencing 26th February needs to be kept clear in the event of a Trophy replay at Brackley - and then we have rescheduled meetings with Kiddy and Boston on the next two Tuesdays. Celtic appear to have a good few midweek fixtures through March, too!
But, anyway, watch this space...

Utterly ludicrous - although, on the bright side (and given that certain numbers of first-team players are required to turn out in the CSC), it does prevent our schedule getting any more congested at this stage.

The relevant Cheshire Senior Cup rule is poorly worded and, taken without the wider FA rule being clear, would indeed allow him to be eligible. But it's quite clear that the FA requires foreign nationals - regardless of whether they've registered with an overseas FA before - to have international clearance in place. It's the first paragraph on their website/related materials/forms, and it covers even amateur footballers. Thus, if we only found out he didn't have international clearance in January, he had appeared for us and out on loan already.
