Hello, good evening and greetings from Edgeley Park for what is the middle game in a trilogy of consecutive Tuesday home matches - and also, following some recent fixture-reshuffling, the second in the series of a whopping six midweek fixtures in a row!
We welcome our visitors from Tamworth, who, as it happens, were the first side to beat County this season. Hopefully, the result at The Lamb will be reversed tonight, and, in the process, we further build on our excellent run of home form which, this time last week against Lincoln, extended to a hat-trick of EP wins.
The other match played since our last notes were written was at Wrexham. (The trip to Ebbsfleet will have taken place after the printing-deadline for this issue.) County’s foray across the Welsh border the weekend before last was, in terms of effort and quality, worth at least a share of the spoils - even though we had, in the event, to travel home afterwards without any points (and not without a sense of injustice over certain decisions by the officials!).
Once again, there have been some player arrivals and departures. Grateful County Heaven thanks are due to Connor Jennings, who returns to Scunthorpe after a most productive loan-spell in SK3, and we also send best wishes to Tom Collins and Craig Hobson while they themselves are out on loan at Hayes & Yeading and at Lincoln, respectively. Finally, we welcome Adnan Cirak and Johan Hammar, our incoming Scandanavian duo. Let us hope that both play their part to help ensure a good FINNISH to the campaign, aS WE’D Earnestly hoped would always be the case(sorry, couldn’t resist)!
Over to you, Sandy...

Thanks, Maccy - and welcome everyone!
Even though the recent changes at EP have now settled down, I am pleased to report that County Heaven is still as busy as ever. The recent results against Wrexham and Lincoln have, of course, featured heavily but, if you’ve not yet paid us a visit, we are a good deal more than just a forum for discussing County and the past week has been a prime example of this.
Aside from recent debates encompassing other sports such as Ice Hockey and (gulp) The Six Nations (where Maccy’s Welshness again reared its ugly head), our net has been cast far and wide and has dragged in all sorts of unusual morsels to whet your appetite.
For example, our older contingent have recently dusted off their record collection and debated all things vinyl, whilst others have been discussing the first car they ever owned and which is the best mobile phone. Elsewhere, Sir Roger has had us sharing our most embarrassing moments – which have so far included unfortunate incidents in a ladies’ toilet, a McDonalds, a Majorcan water park and an airport baggage reclaim, while Fudgie has confessed to exposing a female relative in a swimming pool and Gazza unfortunately exposed...well, himself. All well worth a read, I assure you, even if some of the associated mental images are potentially harmful!
There’s something for everyone – so why not pop along and join in?!
Enjoy the game.
