Rollers was relegated to the first division league in 2003. It took Rollers only one season to bounce back to the then Super League, where they became the first promoted side to win the elite league in their first season in the top flight. They also made history by being the first club to win a double in any one season. In the season 2004–05 under the tutelage of a Botswana icon, the late coach Banks Panene they won both the Coca-Cola Cup and the league title. They last won the Premier League title in 2015/16.
This is Townships home ground the Botswana National Stadium but to avoid fixture congestion they also play at the University Of Botswana Stadium.

They were founded in 1945 by several football enthusiasts from Tampines and are nicknamed the Stags as this is a symbol of wisdom, its antlers are associated with the tree of life and in Chinese culture its a symbol of virility.
They spent the 1950’s & 60’s in the Singapore amateur football association where they were among the top teams and in 1974 they were placed in division 2 of the newly formed National Footbal League. In 1975 they were promoted to division 1 after winning all of their league games. They remained in league 1 until 1988 when they were relegated. They stayed in league 2 until 1994 when they were selected to compete in the newly formed S-League.
In 2016 the club struggled financially and at the start of the 2017 season drastic measures were taken to ensure the future of the club, these included wage cuts for the players and technical staff, the closing down of fruit machines and the overseas players being released one of these was Jermaine Pennant.
They are currently playing their home games at the Jurong West Stadium which is only on a temporary basis whilst the New Tampines Town Hub is finished, this is due to open in July 2017.
