A big hello to everyone!
Today's game against Tamworth was my first time attending Edgely Park. County won 2-1 without even playing remotely well and I had a blast. Hopefully I'm some sort of lucky charm so get to a bookies before the game against Telford on 14 April.
I moved to central Manchester (technically Salford..) earlier this year from SW London and I've been looking for a propper local club to support. I was an AFC Wimbledon season ticket holder till my move and my main team is Chelsea so I wanted to find a team in blue to follow.
I think I've seen Stockport live twice before today at Selhurst when both Wimbledon and County were in the Championship in 2000 and 2001 but I didn't attend in 2002 because of the scum ripping up our club. From t'internet I see that our current manager Neal Ardley started in those games.
Looking forward to seeing more of yous in the league and playoffs this year.

Welcome aboard. I'm glad you've found your way to the greatest club in the northwest. Today's performance was below par but you will soon find out how much the club means to the fans. We have followed the rise of AFC whilst showing continuous contempt for MK franchise.
Whilst here please feel free to join in all areas of the site, it's a bit like an old fashioned pub there's all sorts of everything going on and everything is friendly.

Hello SB - welcome. Good to see AFC doing better than the 'imposters'. A sign of a club on the rise is winning a match when not playing well (today). The first half we were well off the pace but put that down to 3 matches in 7 days..and a massive physical effort on Tuesday night against Fylde. Get voting in the Man of the match poll.

Greetings, SB,. You have definitely chosen the right team to follow locally - and, as you can tell, we, in turn, are pretty fond of AFC! Enjoy the debate and banter, matey.

Welcome SB.
Don't forget to join in all the fun and games on here, we are a friendly lot (bit like the club really).
Like AFC the club has been through the mill. Hopefully we have turned a corner and the only way is up. Enjoy the banter and the football.
Cheers

Welcome aboard, sb, many thanks for joining and for lending your support to our club.
Everyone on here has great respect for AFC and the way they have bounced back from the MK travesty.
I hope we can soon join your great club back in the FL, with MK Donuts hopefully going the other way.

Welcome to CH, SB!
As has been said, plenty of respect for AFC on here, and fantastic to hear you've adopted County as your 'local' club! There's a good feeling around the club ATM, we've been through the ringer (which I'm sure you're no stranger to) but hopefully, finally, we're on an upward curve now!
Stay true, stay blue! Hope you'll be back at EP before the season is out!

The mental image I now have, is of you dressed as Janine from 'Ghostbusters', ringing and alarm and screaming "WE GOT ONE!"

Cheers for all the nice messages and condemnation of MK, much appreciated. To answer the question that sandbachhatter asked: I searched Stockport County forum on google and this was the second website that came up (the first one looked like a nightmareish 1990s windows 95 board). I did buy the programme though but I didn't get a chance to have a propper read of it apart from the nice interview from your new FCUM lad. I do kind of wish there was a bit more info about each County player, what position they play or their strengths ect. But yea, thoroughly enjoyable day and really please SCFC are now in the playoff places.
PS is there anywhere in the ground you can get a pint?

In the Cheadle End (the big stand) there is a bar in between the upper and lower tiers mate. Where were you sat today?
