Rhys Turner has been sold to Oldham Athletic....... OldhamAthleticAFC @officialoafc 17m Latics have this morning signed Rhys Turner from Stockport County. Full story to follow on the official site www.oldhamathletic.co.uk #oafc That was on Twitter today... I had no doubt he'd go on to better things but it's a shame we couldn't squeeze a full season out of him, good luck to the lad, he's done well for us, wonder what we got for it!

Yeah, you're right Fudgie - he was always going to go. Plenty of teams in for him too before he signed for Oldham. Shame for County but, from what I've heard, it's a decent sum we've got for him so, let's just hope the powers that be use it wisely (I don't for a minute believe this will happen of course).

It's a shame, but good luck to him one to watch as you can see him going on even further. I just hope we did get some good money for him - maybe enough for a proper groundsman for half a season?

I'd do the groundsmanning for free but sadly I think I may actually be worse than McKnight's current cronies!

Hopefully the undisclosed fee is a good one and not just a training kit or the promise of a pre season friendly

Let's not be forgetting the small matter of recompense for HtH....

Even though I've never seen him play he looked a cut above in all the highlights clips. Hope he gives it a good go and has a lengthy and successful career.
Anyone got any idea of the fee we may have received?

In my mind more important than the the money which, lets face it won't be a lot, is whether 'they' have negotiated a sell on clause. 30% of a future sale for example may turn out to be a lot more important in the long run!! A sell on clause would also be a sign of forward thinking and long term plan....., what am I saying. Sorry gazza.

Good shout there, Bristol.
Has Ryan learnt his lesson from previous deals, I hope so, but fear more experienced "suits" from elsewhere may tie him up in knots.
30% essential & a minimum.

McKnight couldn't negotiate a decent deal with a f***ing gardener, we've got no hope with that idiot in charge...

A real pity that Rhys is leaving so soon - although I reckon he has what it takes to go a long way in the game... and we may well, in time, have something to boast about, having watched him in his early days. (That, plus the fruits of a sell-on clause... well, we can but hope!)
Best of luck to the lad.

This has saddened me. Wished we could have kept him till the end of the season.
Seems that a rhys oates is coming our way though.
