Although Clarke has captained in the absence of Ross, was this the first game this season where both started and Clarke was still captain from the off? Obviously Clarke has experience at Northwich, don't think Ross was captain at Chorley though. Clarke has more experience in that role and even in the early days was telling Ross when you would have expected it to be theother way round. I have to admit I wasnt overly impressed by Clarke in the beginning but he is certainly doing a good job now.

What happened was that, for some reason, Clarke was indicated as Captain on the team-sheet in error. I sent out a tweet to clarify this just after kick-off, on seeing that Ross had the armband!

Great stuff, thanks for clearing it up! Was thinking we had changed mid-season and the motherly side of me wanted to hug Ross... I think it's the motherly side, right?!

I have to say that when we in the press box saw the team-sheet, we wanted to give Ross a hug, too! The signs did not look rosy for him - so, something of a relief that it all boiled down to nothing more than a back-office 'typo'.
