Fans Forum- 18 August 2021.
We are extremely pleased to advise that , after representations from ourselves, the Club have agreed to a Fans Forum taking place next Wednesday at Edgeley Park in the 1883 Suite starting 7pm.
This is a very welcome move and an excellent opportunity for supporters to hear directly from the Club themselves on issues as a vitally important new season beckons.
Full details are contained in the Club`s statement that follows below.
Club Statement: Fans’ Forum
The Club are pleased to confirm plans to host a fans’ forum on Wednesday 18th August, in association with the Stockport County Supporters’ Co-operative. The event will take place in the 1883 suite at Edgeley Park, will feature Club owner Mark Stott, Director of Football Simon Wilson and First Team Manager Simon Rusk, and will be hosted by Jon Keighren and Club President Steve Bellis. The forum is scheduled to start at approximately 7:00pm, with doors opening from 6:30pm, with the event free of charge for supporters to attend. There is no booking required for this event, and anyone is welcome to ask a question. Refreshments will also be available to purchase on the night, with the bar in the 1883 lounge in operation. We look forward to welcoming supporters on Wednesday night, and would also like to thank the Supporters’ Co-Op for their help in organising this event.

I wonder if someone can ask Mark Stott if he intends to help the Danny statue fund get over the line, as that would go a little way to showing that he actually cares about the club and its fans.

Good point and we also need more fans to dig deep as the response so far has been somewhat quiet.

I get that, but many people have been affected by the pandemic, Ceef, and have either been on reduced hours, been laid off or have been on reduced furlough wages. The co-op will surely recognise this.

Bill Supports Danny Statue Appeal.... "You'll never beat Bill Williams" was a regular cry from the County terraces in the 1980's. Arguably one of the best defenders to pull on a County shirt, Bill notched up over 300 appearances in two spells from 1985 to 1998 and 1989 to 1994. Bill signed for Manchester City, but returned to County the following season. Bill has made a generous donation to the Danny Bergara appeal, along with a fantastic tribute. `Let`s Make This Happen!`………… ………The words of Help the Hatters Organiser Supreme John Gaskin as his timely donation today to the Danny Bergara Statue Appeal took the total raised beyond the significant landmark of £10,000. There`s a way to go yet, but we are working at initiatives now, and with your help ….it will happen….we will commission that statue and see it sited suitably at Edgeley Park ! www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dannybergara?utm_term=bzbaGAmQN

Is anyone going to ask the club if Mark Stott would like to help fund this, maybe as part of the new development plans he's talking of at EP?

Hatters Half Marathon Update This Sunday is a big day in Stockport sport, as the town plays host to the sixth Stockport Hatters Half Marathon-promoted and organised by the Supporters Cooperative, with the brilliant support of C & C Healthcare. Edgeley Park provides a pre-race base from where the race starts, at 9.30 am this Sunday 5 September. The race takes a gloriously scenic route along the Trans Pennine Trail following the mighty River Mersey to Northenden, before returning to the finish in Alexandra Park. Over 300 have signed up to run so a great race is in prospect. To join them on the start line outside Edgeley Park go to hattershalf.co.uk/ To help out on the day and be part of this Stockport success story, contact johngiles20@hotmail.com
