As far as I know mate, I went to watch Cheadle v Stockport a few weeks ago and he was there, so I would guess so.
If you’re on the fence, I can add in how they swept in like rabid vultures picking at the corpse of Woodley Sports before it was even cold as well as cherry picking Cheadle Town’s best players before banging on about what a youth system they have.

I agree, mate - b*ll*cks to 'em!

I won’t be all negative and admit that I’m sure this deal has some good points and I’m sure Jim and Lordy wouldn’t have signed the deal if it didn’t benefit County as well.
Still can’t stand ‘em, mind!

I wouldn’t touch Stockport Town if I had even a shred of a say, talking about being the biggest club in Stockport, treating the U18 cup victory as though they’d just won the actual FA Cup. I’d much prefer to have a link with Cheadle Town or New Mills etc, clubs with a bit of history to them who have consistently maintained good relationships with us. yeah with you on that fudgie. but at least they've been put firmly back in their box.

Yeah pity the link up wasnt with Cheadle Town. However Clare Town do have all weather pitches so i can understand the link up.
They just need to be reminded there’s only always been one real team in Stockport.

Pretty sure I'm right in saying that Rob Clare hasn't been employed at Stockport Town for a couple of years now - having taken up appointment as Sports Director at the Cheadle Hulme Club.
Equally sure that he remains a fan, though...

Do you mean he’s at Cheadle Town now, Maccy? If that’s the case that’s a hell of a U-Turn on his part!

No, matey - it's the general sports club located in the grounds of Cheadle Hulme High School.

Ah fair enough, I’ve never even heard of it!
I think he has a small role within STFC though I could be confusing it with his role at Life Leisure, SSV!

West, Czubik and a few who have been given games in the CSC turned our earlier at EP against Goole. West looked levels above such a game but obviously doesn't look to have enough to trouble a 1st team squad selection. That, and the 9-0 scoreline, highlights the need for the more established players to be able to get regular men's football as some of these loans don't seem to have yielded too much game time. So, hopefully, that's where this partnership will make a real difference for the progress of such players.

The match has to be played in the w/c Monday 3rd September 2018 and (not counting chickens...) the winner will then progress to the first round qualifying stage (!), which takes place 2 weeks later from Monday 17 September.
