oh maccy - i've only just managed to force myself to remove the second 'c' i instinctively put in our keeper's name... this isn't countdown you know? they can't just give themselves a new anagrammatical name every week, add or subtract a couple of letters, or be known only by a named and immaculately drawn symbol... I feel your pain, exile. Took me half a season to overcome the autocorrect that came up every time with 'Jamie Menage', before he was binned off... and he never did score a hat-trick to trigger an ' a trois' pun, either!

In the match programme JG mentions
“An extremely difficult week for me, with 2 disappointing defeat s on the road and when you then add in serious injuries to 2 young players on the friday night U21 game and weds u19 fame then you can understand then you can understand how this has been the hardest week of my current tenure as manager”.
That doesn’t sound good; does anyone know who the 2 player s are?

Yup, sounds bad but nothing mentioned on the academy feeds as far as I can see or on the Ribbleton feed.
For those who didn't get the programme, AL used the Academy page he has to do the first 'Meet the Players' where he'll introduce us to the Academy players. Yesterday, the focus was on 3rd-year academy central midfielder Jordan Peach.
AL said Peach, 19, "epitomises professionalism" and the player himself said he is "a high-energy, competitive midfielder who consistently maintains possession whilst successfully winning the ball back in both the attacking and defending halves."

I wouldn’t touch Stockport Town if I had even a shred of a say, the way they acted trying to snap up sponsorship from under County, talking about being the biggest club in Stockport, treating the U18 cup victory as though they’d just won the actual FA Cup. Can’t stabd them!
I’d much prefer to have a link with Cheadle Town or New Mills etc, clubs with a bit of history to them who have consistently maintained good relationships with us.
Apologies if it seems like I’m aiming this at you, Maccy! Absolutely not the case, cheers for posting, I’d have never even noticed otherwise.

I think I'm swaying ever-so-slightly towards this opinion myself, Fudgie. Incidentally, is Clare still working with them?
