Will the winners be French or Portugese. Will it be close, or won at a breeze ? Ronaldo - Griezmann ? Golden Boot's "Fancy Dan" ! I didn't even watch it as I was out having a Chinese!

Well, what a Final performance from Portugal. Who would have predicted that (not anyone on County Heaven !!!).
Time for a decision Gazza, and then we can get on with the really serious stuff -- County friendlies, of courses. Cheers.

Excellent stuff, Eps - cheers for playing, matey! Been on holiday for the last 2 weeks with very limited access to the internet and very limited time for CH (motorhome around anglesey and snowdonia). That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! (I didn't want anyone thinking I'd lost my commitment to the Limerick Lounge!)

@ Lennie: I'll have a look shortly, matey. I'm currently mobile and I really do need to have a read through on my desktop to decide on my top three.

In joint third we have archie with the excellent: "Allez Bleus with Griezmann the big cheese." - still apt as he rightly won the Golden Boot with his impressive strike rate! & Lennie with another quality line: "Neither fit to lace the boots of Brazil's Socrates." - Indeed, matey, these so-called 'greats' these days aren't in the same class! In second place we have countyfan with another excellent entry: "Now it's finished, can we all now concentrate on County please!!" - My sentiments entirely, matey! & Eps with this gem: "But I thought to Europe we'd given the V's!" - Brilliantly topical, mate! But my winner - there can be only one - is Maccy with the brilliantly apt: "And Platini? 'Un ballon de sleaze'!" - Totally agree, with his ridiculous 24-team system seeing Portugal being crowned champions - what a farce! Enjoy your Golden Quill, matey! Thanks to everyone who played - fantastic quality throughout! Thanks also to the guv'nor, Lennie - another brilliant series of games! Over to you, Judge Maccy!

Wahey - thanks, Gaz-man! There were some seriously high-quality lines out there, so am delighted to have won.
Look forward to donning the robes for our first County-related rhyme-fest of 2016/17. Bring it on, Lennie!

Macc-nifique !!
Cheers Gazza, we probably all saved the best to the end. Thanks for the decision, not an easy one at all.
Cheers all for entering and keeping the sequence going during the close season.
County friendlies open us so let's get over there right now.
