Reminder.... Help the Hatters are doing their usual Monday morning Clean Up at EP from 10 ish. Unfortunately 3 Monday Squad stalwarts John Gaskin, Angela and Ray will be missing, so we need a big turnout to make up for this. Access is via the Pop Side Gate, and it should last twixt an hour and 90 minutes, and there will be a brew in it at the end! Hedge, you've been asked a question regarding the museum, mate - twice, in fact. If you can please provide an answer it would be much appreciated, as there may be others who read this forum that would also be interested in this. Cheers.

County Quiz at the Spinning Top.
There are just under 3 weeks remaining until the next `County Quiz' takes place @17.30, after the Curzon Ashton game , ' the Spinning Top ( on the A6 near the Garrick Theatre). `Coop Elite' are gagging to get amongst the prizes again and rack up their third win, but last time it did not turn out that way, as they finished third, behind` Ken Dodd's Dad's Dead Dog' and winners `Norfolk & Chance', as the Quiz went on tour to the New Mills FC . It costs just £20 to enter a 5 person team( £4 per person), so to get amongst the prizes and ensure that all the above get some competition, email johngiles20@hotmail.com without delay. See you on the 11 March !

With apologies for the late response.
The Museum is intended to be a permanent feature at Edgeley Park, one aimed at attracting parties of school children from local schools ( future County fans)
They will be given a tour of EP, a goody bag and a ticket to a game, possibly more also, as this is still being discussed as the idea becomes more a reality as fabric and items fill walls.
The hope is to arrange access to existing fans also, but again this is one for discussion / negotiation, so no date(s) yet.
Hope this helps.

Better late than never! Sounds great - making a big effort with kids of primary school age is the best way to secure fans of the future.
Regarding the Kiddy social club - that is a great touch, good on them. It would have been very easy for them to not extend the hand of friendship like that after what went on last time we played them at Aggborough.

This ^^^ Yet more proof that there really are some class people in this league. Hats off to them.

Anyone know if the club ever offered kids birthday parties? As a kid, on a match day getting a match ticket, programme, grub, tour, museum and meeting a player who signs your shirt or programme. How easy is that? and all for the princely sum of £ reasonable. And the end result is not about the money it's offering a great experience for the young kids that they will remember for years to come and hopefully return with parents in tow to future matches.

All good ideas Ceefer.
The Supporters Coop are asking the Club about possible initiatives aimed at getting kids and parents to EP ...and more importantly getting them to return after an initial visit.
We meet em on 2 March- a full report will be posted here soon thereafter.

Please not them !!!!! You will be aware that the latest round of the `County Quiz' takes place on Saturday 11 March 2017, when the popular event returns to Stockport 's top bar `The Spinning Top’ near the Garrick Theatre. It all starts at 17.30 after County’s game with Curzon Ashton, and entries ( teams or individuals) cost £20 per 5 person team or £4 per person, and should by sent to johngiles20@hotmail.com But....are you aware that crack quizzers `Coop Elite’ fancy their chances of making a comeback, following their third placing behind winners ` Norfolk & Chance’ and the oddly named `Ken Dodd’s Dad’s Dead Dog’, last time out, when the County Quiz went on tour to the New Mills FC Social Club? Yes.....a possibly overconfident spokes person for the `Elites' gushed.." we're going to win it...AGAIN!", when approached last night. Well..... if you , like me, fancy spiking the `Elites' ambitions on the 11th, I hope have sent, or will send in your team details to organiser John Giles who is looking forward to last times `top three’ having competition on the 11th, . Make it so....enter today as a team or individual today!

SCAN Presentations- Saturday 4 March at the Bung.
Pre-game Saturday sees SCAN in action providing County supporters with another neat occasion to celebrate current and former players, at the Bungalow pre and post the game with Chorley. Players attending Dave Partridge, Peter Phoenix, Steve Fleet, Eddy Garbutt, John Griffiths, Alan Ogley, Hugh Ryden, Steve Crowther and Doug Griffiths. County Historian Marcus Heap will do an intro at 2.00 and then facilitate the presentation , to Dave Partridge, of his SCAN Certificate. Post-game The presentation of the first set of SCAN Certificates since we dropped out of the FL, to current County players, will be done to the current County squad, or ...more accurately those who played in the FA Cup v Woking earlier this season. We are expecting the majority of SCAN 72-73 stars will stay on to witness this, which will be great James Gannon has asked the players to arrive at 5.30pm and we will aim to get going asap thereafter, with Marcus Heap going his brilliant hosting bit again. We do hope you will support this uniquely County SCAN event , but ...finally....an appeal.... WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO PRESENT THE 2016-17 CERTIFICATES- WE CANNOT LEAVE THIS UNTIL SATURDAY. PLEASE STEP UP.....MAKE A PRESENTATION..... DO THIS BY CONTACTING scan@gogogocounty.org

It was announced ahead of tonight's SCAN presentations that the Museum - which has already received local visits from local schools - will be open between 7 and 8pm on Wednesday and Thursday evenings for County fans to visit.
Not entirely sure how many weeks for which this shall apply - but, for any Heaveners interested, it will be well worth a visit.
