The final position on offers for the two shirts saw a total of £295 raised in support of the great work done by Handy Ladies in the Community ( Tom Walker £195/ 2003/4 China Tour shirt £100)
Our thanks go to the two anonymous County supporters whose offers prevailed, and to all those who supported this effort so brilliantly!

Jim Donates his Match Worn Shirt to Help the Hatters Auction in Support of Handy Ladies Feeding the Community. Struck by the work that Handy Ladies do providing free meals to vulnerable people locally, and the fact that they now are totally dependent on donations, County legend Jim Gannon donated this superb match worn shirt from the 1998-99 season- a fantastic gesture! Jim made 38 League appearances ( inc as sub) for County that season and this shirt featured heavily late on in that campaign.. To own this brilliant item and help Jim help Help the Hatters support Handy Ladies Feeding the Community you are invited to submit offers. Send these by email only please to hedgegrower@gmail.com . This auction ends at 7pm Wednesday 27 July – all proceeds going to Handy Ladies Feeding the Community

County History- A Look Back -1 The Longest Game County v Doncaster Rovers (30th March, 1946) The blog contains a good number of articles covering well known and not so well known chunks of County history. To access these use the drop down top left and then `Labels`. Meanwhile I will start what will be a series of delves into that section of the blog with Alan Edward`s account of the famous `Longest Game` hedgegrower.blogspot.com/2013/09/witness-to-county-history.html
