An Apology. Regretably, the Club have advised hedgegrower that, due to the Covid 19 situation, they are able to allow only essential staff to attend matches at Edgeley Park thus both myself and Andrew will not be allowed access on matchdays for the time being. This of course means that there will be no County report and accompanying photographs on hedgegrower.blogspot.com this Saturday or indeed going forward unless the situation changes. The blog has been mightily grateful to the County Family who ( pre Covid) sustained us with an average weekly readership of just over 3000- spread across the UK, US, Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, South America, Japan of course ,and many other countries. So …...to all our supporters and readers we apologise for not being able to publish currently- we will return when we can! IO County hedgegrower

Sorry to hear that Hedgie. Hopefully it’s not too long before we can all see County in the flesh again.

Win…..Win……Win !!!!! Appropriately, the sun was out yesterday as Help the Hatters were joined at Edgeley Park by Tom Quayle of the Stockport County Official Club Lottery. It was an altogether happy occasion as Tom`s reason for bobbing in to see us was to present Help the Hatters with a cheque for £1500 – commission earned by the group via County supporters who quoted our code when signing up for the lottery. We were both surprised and delighted to see Tom and receive the most welcome boost to our working funds. This will enable us to purchase materials ( more news on what we have recently bought upcoming soon) and keep on doing what we do. So…as the header says…..if County fans sign up for the lottery and input `Help the Hatters` in the `other` box under `How did you hear about us` , it’s a win….win…win…situation- the lottery ( and the Club) get good income……Help the Hatters also get a boost to their working funds….and YOU can benefit via the regular weekly prizes which range from £10 to a totally brilliant £1000 …and all for £1 per week ! So…please consider joining the lottery , and if you do quote the Help the Hatters as noted above, we get our commission. You can join via this link:- portal.fastpayltd.co.uk/signup/personal-details/2590Thank you. Help the Hatters

SCAN 1972/73 County Heroes Reunion. Tomorrow is the fifth anniversary of a fantastic evening which took place in the now defunct Bungalow Club adjacent to Edgeley Park, on 14 November 2015. Organised by SCAN the event attracted a packed attendance to see the County heroes from 1972-73 back amongst us. And they did not disappoint ! Amongst my personal favourite moments are Ray Charters response on `that goal`, and Alan Ogley`s animated account of same, but there are many more poignant moments caught , either on one of many photos published here, or David wright`s fine audio and video , which is guaranteed to have you either laughing along with our County heroes or crying with the emotion of it all. Catch the brilliant video…..the audio , and hedgegrower`s account of the evening here :- hedgegrower.blogspot.com/2015/11/scan-197273-cup-heroes-reunion.html
