Surely too late as 263 votes already posted! I'm not saying he should win it but It seems a shame that Cowan not even recognised despite playing over 50 times this season. Does someone know something as to why he's not included? Is he leaving, or has he upset JG? Just wondering.

George Haigh YPOY Award- Replacement Poll Regarding the George Haigh Young Player of the Year award for this season . It appears that the original poll omitted the names of a number of eligible County players. We apologise for this error, and in the interests of fairness have decided to start the poll process again from scratch with all eligible players involved. Any votes already cast , are thus cancelled and we would ask you to please vote again. The closing date for voting has been moved onwards to noon on Tuesday 8 May, and the award will be presented on 19 May at the End of Season Gala Event. members3.boardhost.com/marionsboard/msg/1525551829.html

Help the Hatters Update.
First off ...well done to those who showed this morning, some of whom are caught here...
After a Danny Stand litter pic, and a sweep of the Pop Side ( Anne was busy beneath the stand setting the paint job up) .... decisions were reached on what's happening next...
It was agreed that the evening sessions would start on Wednesday of next week 30 May from 6 pm at Edgeley Park. Come prepared for anything , and definitely do not don the tux!
So...we are looking for volunteers to join us starting Wednesday 30th- if you are interested contact Fitzy on 07858 723106. Of course ...also...if you can donate materials for the inevitable painting marathon...please let Fitzy know.
Also...on Monday next help the Hatters are running their major fund raiser namely the Car Boot at the Booth Street Car Park.
It starts at ridiculous o'clock, but Angela the organiser , is short of 2 or 3 volunteers to help between 10 am and 13.00- if you can help please let Angela know via 07867 856394or angela.moore@ntlworld.com

As a consequence 2 additional sessions have been added this week ( its still Monday and Wednesday next week)

Painting is the priority but if that does not jump your rapids, John G will sort some equally important task for you to do.
If you can spare us a couple of hours that would be really great!

Reminder.
Everyone is invited to a get together to celebrate the life of Sue Cordon, being organised by her friends on Saturday 30th June at the Pineapple on Heaton Lane, affectionately known as The Chunky, where Sue spent many a happy hour.
There will be a pop-up exhibition of Sue's County photos, and you can also expect jugs of cheeky vimto and the boisterous singing of County songs.
As it will also be the weekend of George Haigh's 103rd birthday, some of us will be indulging in the traditional toast to George, using his favourite tipple, i.e. Velvet Pussy (Port & Guinness).
Celebrations will commence at 3pm and proceed at a nice leisurely pace, so please do your best to join us at some point that afternoon / evening.
Friends of Sue
