Groundhog Day.
The perfect blend of actor and movie, I'll never get bored of watching Bill Murray slowly unravel, then finally accept his fate and make the best use of it.
A truly great movie.

the first week impossible of CHIME.
shout out for cute indie 'ghost world', but then it gets difficult.
'grosse point blank' is a rom-com. a rom-com with a lot of 80's music and about a hitman. and various other rival hitmen coming together at a high school reunion. silly, but i invariably feel the world is a better place having watched it. minnie driver is absolutely lovely in it too.
'goodfellas'. the best organised crime film ever. just full stop. brilliant, high-energy performances all round.
'glengarry glen ross'. it's about desperate salesmen 'A B C - Always Be Closing', and it is f***ing brilliant. my favourite cast in a film ever (ed harris, alan arkin, jonathan pryce, alec baldwin, kevin spacey, al pacino) all blown away by the magnificent performance of jack lemmon as shelley 'the machine' levene, a wretched weasel on his way down. serious and shouty, crackling with tension the whole way through. just brilliant.

I'd written down: The Graduate The Goodbye Girl Gregory's Girl Ghostbusters and my personal favourite, Gosford Park. Watch it a few times and, like many Altman films, you'll pick up on something else going on in the background. A director and so many good actors on top form.

Goodfellas is a great shout, exile - although, on balance, I shall go for the mob drama that is The Godfather.
And, if we need to be precise about these things where a series is involved, it has to be The Godfather II - best sequel ever... just ahead of (ahem) Toy Story!

I don't mean to be a party pooper here, but surely 'The' is the same as 'A' in terms of the naming of movies, and should therefore be listed under week 'T'?

We discussed this prior to Week A mate and decided to omit the 'the'.

No it's ok mate, the decision was a little inconsistent to be honest, but Week T would be full of 'The' films otherwise!

I'm with ars on this one - impossible week. Here's my shortlist of 17, in no particular order, many of which have already been mentioned:
Ghostbusters, Godfather, Goldfinger, Goldeneye, Groundhog Day, Gallivant, Glengarry Glen Ross, Goodfellas, Gosforth Park, The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle, The Grifters, Grosse Point Blank, Gran Torino, Gremlins, The Game, The Great Escape, The Green Mile
The Grinch would have been on the list, but I see the full title is Dr Seuss' Grinch Who Stole Christmas, so would have to be in D (and would have got my vote if I'd realised)
I genuinely can't choose a favourite from that lot, so I'm going for The Great White Silence. It is the original footage from Herbert Ponting of Scott's attempt to reach the South Pole over 100 years ago. It was edited together as a film in 1924 and is a wonderful silent film that tells the story. I am geekily facinated by the golden age of adventure (poles and Everest) and have loads of books on the subject. It's unbelievable that they tried to get to the poles, literally, in woolly jumpers. To see the actual footage, rather than a dramatisation, is a real treat.

Some noticeable mentions from me would be..
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - I loved the original and also thought the re-make with Daniel Craig was pretty good too. Goldeneye Gothika Gremlins
But for me the one for me that i've seen hundreds of times and still use quotes from today like "Mamma....you've been bad" is The Goonies
