All appreciated Gazza. Back from Newcastle now, but keep up the good work.

Curzon Ashton, as the curtain comes down. A season to make you laugh, cry and frown. Sublime or slapdash, As we take on "The Nash" ? Singing a song from Tamla Motown...

I apolgize for the lack of rhymes with this one, but I was on the last minute (Mrs Len was sat in the car waiting for me to leave while I was still composing - lazer stare burning into my neck through brick and breeze block)).
Still, highly constructive, so far. I will leave it out until tomorrow but I make a decision.

Not at all, Lennie, it makes for a better game when you've really got to think of a line.

Time for a decision.
8 suspects with 16 pieces of evidence to consider.
3rd place goes to Archie who managed to name drop Crosby, Stills, nash, Cathy McGowan and Martin Keown.
2nd place goes to Macca and his wordsmith claim that "The Nash" doesn't sound like a noun. (quite correct)
but 1st place has to go to................ . . . . . . . ..
Eppy for his double "Thank Jim for getting us out of the Brown" and the very funny "Who's that next to Fudgie ? Some one of renown ?".
Both worthy winners.
Thanks to all for keeping me entertained throughout the season by entering my little ditty daydreams.
But, don't fear................ The limericks will keep appearing as and when anything of note needs a pop at. On the field, off the field, in the news, in (or out) of Europe (either England, Wales, N Ireland or just GB in the big vote), Wimbledon, Cricket, F1 and anyone on County Heaven misbehaving or otherwise. Nothing will be sacred.
Just watch this space.

Wise judgement there, Lennie! Well done to Eps on a deserved win, and also to Archie and Maccy on their podiums. Thanks for a cracking season of rhyming, Lennie, I'm looking forward to seeing the next choice of topic!

Yay, cheers, len. It's been a while since I've been on the top of the podium, so I'm very pleased! Well played all. It's been another cracking season of rhymes, len. I really don't know how you maintain the high standard. Looking forward to a few more over the summer.

Some excellent final lines to finish off the season there - so, delighted with the Silver Medal. Cheers, Lennie! Congratulations to Archie and, especially, Eppers for their podium-finishes. Look forward to the close-season rhyming!
