Was going with 'Fawlty Towers' but it was a TV series. Still havent seen 'Fifty Shades of Grey' so cant comment....Four Weddings and a Funeral' and Hemingways 'For Whom the Bells Toll' were decent but not a touch on my choice 'For a Few Dollars More'

No, my choice is A Fish Called Wanda. "it's k-k-k-ken...c-c-coming to k-k-k-kill me......how you gonna c-c-c-catch me k-k-k-ken?"

All of my Fs have been mentioned, mainly by downy: the fly, full metal jacket, finding nemo & falling down. I almost went for fargo as I love most of the coen brothers' work (Barton Fink got a mention in B), but my favourite (though not necessarily the best) F is Falling Down. Michael Douglas is class as he mentally erm, falls down. Starting with the traffic jam and then the Korean shop keeper and McDonald's, it is brilliantly observed and acted.

Sorry Lennie, I think that would have been Week A mate. Fair Do's. I'll go "French Connection (The)" instead,

My initial thoughts when it was week F was Ferris Bueller's day off straight away but racking my brain (didn't take long!!) a few others have popped into my head now...
Fletch and Fletch Lives (Chevy Chase was in a fair few of the films I watched growing up and another actor that can make you laugh with just a facial expression!) From Dusk till Dawn The Full Monty F/X and F/X 2 (I don't know why I loved these films as a youngest but I did, I used to love the remote control clown flying the helicopter!) Face Off The Fugitive
But being an ex military man i've got to go for a film that for me has the best opening 30 minutes of a film ever... Full Metal Jacket

Great shout for Full Metal Jacket, Countyfan, Vincent D'Onofrio was absolutely phenomenal in that movie.

Apologies for not having posted a mid-way update this week, but I've been rather busy.
As far as I can see, 'From Russia With Love' pips 'For A Few Dollars More' by a solitary vote, winning 3-2. The rest all got one vote each. So, Bond makes his first (but possibly not last?) appearance in our A-Z.

Superb result, albeit a lot closer than it should have been for such a top quality 007 movie.

No complaints about that. Possibly the best-ever Bond flick - accompanied, courtesy of singing busman-baritone, Matt Monro, by what is definitely the all-time greatest 007 theme. Really enjoying this weekly film-fest, Sandy. Cheers!

Glad to hear it mate! And yes, both a great film and fantastic theme (even though neither is my overall favourite!)
