Nicely done, Downey. Thank you for your careful deliberations.
Well done to Archie and Epper but the congrats go to Ceefer. sadly ther poisonous little toerag scored twice but it didn't matter in the end.
Cor b(lim)ey where do go next? New one coming later in the week after I have gathered my thoughts.
Cheers all for taking part.

Cheers for the bronze, Downy. Hope you noted that that's the second in the National to go with the second in the Melbourne Cup. Well done Eppy and, especially, Ceefer although I'm not sure it worked as a tactic. Thanks for the game, Lennie.

I liked your Leonard Cohen reference, Archie, in response to "The Faithful" link "So, So Long Marianne. Don't sag."

Cheers Lennie. I usually try to aim musical references at the judge but I couldn't work Sigur Ros into this one.
I know I've banged on about this before but anyone who likes Leonard Cohen songs but finds the delivery a little downbeat should check out Jennifer Warnes' 'Famous Blue Raincoat'. She was a singer in his backing group back in the day and this project of her singing his songs had his blessing. It was very nearly released as, 'Jenny Sings Lennie'.

Belated thanks Downey and congrats to all the podium winners.. I think Hughes was wound up too much and Archie said not a good tactic..it backfired. He doesnt half have a stupid dance when he scores.
What's the score Hughes rang out from the County fans at the final whistle....
