As most of you know, last year Rolvsoy visited our lovely town last year for a Pre-Season training camp, with 3 games in 4 days and various other festivities...whilst the tour was a roaring success, it was expensive and tiring! As such, they are coming back next week but with a much reduced schedule!
They arrive on the Wednesday and the real fun starts on Thursday morning as Lennie brings his Senior Seasiders to Stockport to defend their international crown against Rolvsoy, of course anyone is welcome to come and join in the fun which all takes place at Stockport Sports Village.
On the Friday they will play their only game of the tour at Stockport Sports Village against Hazel Grove for the inaugural Anglo-Nordic Challenge Trophy...for those who can't make it Maccy is providing the club with a Twitter Voice again for the event which is free to get in!
On Saturday it is unlikely we will be going to Worcester with the cost it would incur but we will likely be milling around Stockport's drinkeries for anyone who wants to come and say hello!

A depleted Senior Seasiders squad are looking forward to renewing old acquaintances on Thursday.
Please come along and provide a few youthful legs for us. Sheer entertainment is guaranteed.
Hopefully we won't need to rely on Big(L)Les's rolled in "Father Ted Like" penalty to win the final shoot out.
Thanks for the invite Jarkko and Fudgie. See you there.

Just a reminder that Rolvsoy play Hazel Grove tonight at 8pm.
Tweets, courtesy of yours truly, will go out through the official @rolvsoyif Twitter-feed - for which there is a dedicated thread here on Heaven!

Sadly the senior Seasiders were unable to provide a competitive side to compete this year.
Holidays, illness, injuries and hospital appointments took their toll leaving us with only 5 available players (2 aged 70+ !). Fudgie would have been the only "youthful" set of additional legs so a decision not to make the 130 mile round trip had to be made.
Hopefully we can make it next year if invited.
Sorry, Thomas and guys. Have a good game tonight.

Enjoyed last night's match - and was delighted for Rolvsoy to win a first match on Stopfordian soil, especially after going close against yesterday's opponents last year.
Thought that the squad looked stronger than twelve months ago - with some good new signings (winger, Blaise Wilondja, stood out) joining players, such as Jonas Zakariassen, who had toured as youngsters in 2015 and really improved with age.
Goals-wise, a game of two halves. Rolvsoy were coasting at two-up when half-time arrived, but some inspired substitutions, together with a questionable penalty and an equaliser shortly after the break got Hazel Grove back on terms - before the tourists took advantage of a defensive mix-up, and grabbed their winner, with ten minutes to go.
Great to catch up with Jarkko and the squad - as well as with Fudgie and Shrops.

Cheers, Mr. Tweet!
A very good tour, the best set of lads I've ever been fortunate enough to spend time with! I'm sure they'll go on to prove the critics wrong again and put in another strong showing!
