Oh no - another match already! Normally, we, as fans, would be relishing this local trip - although, understandably, many of us won't. (If I wasn't reporting, I would seriously consider not going.) Let us just hope that, somehow, enough of our players might be...

0-3, abandoned, County reduced to six men. ... Then Fred and Velma rip off NY's mask at full-time.... "It's old man McKnight!" "Yes, and I would've gotten away with it if I'd managed to close the deal on a better bin collection contract...."

F**KING blew a lead again.
Why take Margetts off? he gave us the lead. Within mins of Odejayi coming on to replace him we concede.
Message to NY: Leave the f**k alone next time!

I'm sick to F**KING death of this crap now. Saturday afternoons are supposed to be an escape from a bad week, but for us it's become an overspill for the sh*t that Karma couldn't squeeze in during the week. I hate everything about Football, INCLUDING the Football. P.S. Yes I know it's Monday, but you know what I mean!

Just in from the game - and, with family to entertain at Macc Towers tonight, it will be tomorrow morning before my Match Report is up.
So, for what it may be worth in the meantime, here's a quick personal summary:
- It perhaps needs stressing first - if only to cheer ourselves up a tad - that this was a much improved performance on Boxing Day's.
- The players, for the most part, looked as if they actually cared this afternoon (unlike two days earlier) - and there were some good individual performances: Ledsham and O'Hanlon stood out, while the two-pronged pace attack of Baggie and Brewster caused the home defence plenty of problems.
- That said, there is no getting away from the fact that it was heartbreaking and sloppy, in equal measure, to concede in the manner that we did. Although, in fairness to Odejayi, the ball was on its way in before his misplaced header, there was no-one else sufficiently well positioned to keep the free kick out - and he looked absolutely gutted afterwards.
If we play on Saturday the way we did this afternoon, Harrogate will certainly be in for more of a test second time around.

Agree , a vastly improved performance in all round effort and performance. We had many more chances, just couldnt put them away. Pleased to see Baggie causing problems.
Vegas players were up to their old ways and in all fairness one of there's should have had his marching orders with what should have been a second yellow. If it was a County player I'm sure he'd have been off.
Not sure why Evans came on as he contributed nothing apart form a stupid free kick on the right touchline. Andreas was calling to him to move himself (as a 1 man wall to the right) but he didnt listen. Poor defending on the left hand goal post led to the goal. Their header was already going on when Big K tried to head it out / over the bar (without success).
To be honest we really should have put this game to bed much earlier on.
I agree Macccy, if the players knuckle down again like they did today we may get something from the return at 'Arrowgate.

It sounds as though Odejayi was a little unlucky with the goal, but I can't help but be perturbed by a striker who has scored half as many goals AGAINST his club as he has FOR them.
Still, finding the net should at least give him some confidence.
