Oscars - haven't watched it for years and it's time Britain started saving the world again...in the film world, not movie world.....enough said... Online gambling....I would think it's too easy to sit behind a pc / laptop gambling; it's not a case of handing the crisp banknotes over so there's a feeling of 'unreality' of how much you are spending as you click away...similar in some ways to going on ebay after a few glasses of wine and getting caught up in going for the win, at all cost...ever seen an auction where the winning bid is crazily high.... OFT...still looking young and as they say you're as old as you feel. Think the main problem is you dont sleep as deeply as you did before, so get woken up by storms, the rain and inconsiderate taxi drivers or neighbours having a chat parked nearby with engines running.... My hearing is worse as a consequence of headphones, vinyl music and rock concerts along with riding old noisy british motorcycles. Easy choice here echoing the consensus...bin the online gambling...

Can only be "online gambling" - you don't realise how much you are being taken for. I'm not against gambling but at least when you hand your money over to a bookie you know what you lose!!

On line betting is truly a modern scourge, yet another tax on the poor. I intensely dislike the way that many youngsters are made to feel that it has been normalised to bet on everything and anything. My son does not gamble but he has watched his mates start out with small stakes and accies and then spiral upwards. It is not normal! The reasons the bookies can have so many flashy adverts is because there is no such thing as a poor bookie.
The oscars quite literally pass me by, I think I have been to the cinema twice in the last three years.
Old age, like a number of other posters on here I too am in my mid 40s. My kids have gone to uni, the house is empty, my knees have creaked for the last 25 years so I can't blame that on age. To get into my loft I have to clamber off the top of a step ladder. A couple of years ago I was struggling and thinking how long will I be able to do this for? Then I lost 2 stone and that got much easier! I have always been unable to remember names and faces (which is a bit of a drawback in my job!) so whilst I would like to blame old age for so many of my issues I can't really!
Therefore I feel I have to fall on the evil of online gambling.

This has been a good turnout thus far, much appreciated - and I can't argue with the general consensus of opinion either! Btw, any member can vote, you don't have to be taking part to air your views!

It's a landslide victory for online gambling. It's almost as if the odds were stacked against the other two...
