Hooray for a Bank Holiday. AFC Fylde, Kellamergh Park (it's away !) A day with no hitch ? Just keep eleven on the pitch !! Danny Rowe free-kick ? Cross-bar still rattling today.

Well - definitely worth allowing a bit of added time there. Some quality late entries, fellow limericists - to go with those submitted before the match. Many thanks for making my task a difficult one!
But make a choice I must...
Ahead of the medals, honourable mentions for: Eppers, and his observation that we enjoyed '... late drama worthy of Broadway'; and Gazza, for duly recognising that 'Neil's men made amends for Saturday without delay!'... alright then, only a 30-minute one!
In third place, Ceefer, for having stated beforehand the need - and, indeed, been granted the wish - for '... an honest ref with no hint of foul play'. Save, perhaps, for his failure to brandish a yellow card after awarding the penalty, there was precious little to fault about Mr Gibbons yesterday.
Runner-up this time around: Archie, and his clever, and well-scanned play on words, 'We've run the Rule over them, come what may'. Another influential performance by Glenn, who doubtless will have had the bit between his teeth after Saturday's alleged transgression (did I say that?!)...
But the winner has surely to be Lennie. Hoover puns are all the rage among County fans right now - but 'Kirby and Dyson "cleaned up" per se' was, in this context, genius.
Cheers again for entering! And, with that, it's back to a smiling Sir Len in the studio...

Absolutely beaming at this end !!!
Pleased with that one, just wish I had put the "Dust" Baggie pun in there as well. Brilliant.
Thanks for the honour, Macca and an excellent competition yet again. No hint of a pazinni as a bribe (or at the Birley Arms).
It is so much easier when we can at last be positive about upcoming games and the resultant outcomes.
Time to check my boiler, well it is a Worcester made one !!! New one comimg soon.

Superb winning line from Lennie, and it had to be something special to beat archie's belter! Incidentally, commiserations to the latter on his Silver with a good enough line to have won it! Congrats also to ceefer on the bronze, which was no mean feat when you see what you were up against! Thanks for the honourable mention, Maccy, and to Lennie for creating and winning such a cracking game in superb style. P.S. Any sore losers out there....... suck it up, hosers!

Thanks for the silver, Maccy, but no complaints about bending the knee to Lennie's belter. Congrats to Ceefer and, indeed, to everyone for a very high standard for this one. Well done Lennie. What will you come up with next?
