Next up, if my phone will allow me to cut and paste, is Market Harborough with his three suggestions for C:
Cobra Lager
All the older fans remember the jazzy shirts from 1991 to 1993 with Cobra emblazoned across our chests. I have 2 of them somewhere. Well was it actually a good deal for the club? Not from what I remember hearing, in fact rumour has it the club were fairly well shafted by the company. Initially it was supposed to be a pay as you drink deal involving the number of bottles drunk in the North West, which eventually became number of cases drunk in Stockport!
Well since I heard that I have waged a one man crusade against Cobra - I have never bought or drunk any Cobra since that time in protest. So for that reason alone they should be chucked into the vault never to see the light of day again!!
(PS If I have the story wrong please do not tell me as I still want to stick with it after 20 years)
Compensation Culture:
This just costs me money, claims against councils for tripping on pavements when drunk costs me money on increased Council Tax, inflated car insurance claims for whiplash costs me money on my premiums, people sue people for lots and lots of different items, fake claims for thefts or loss on holidays cost me money through increased premiums (in fact the only people who make any money are the lawyers and they have enough (sorry Sandy).
Compensation Culture should not be allowed.
But, if you are reading this Easyjet, hurry up and pay me my compensation for that delayed flight from Malaga last year!
Common Agricultural Policy:
Its been around since 1962 (longer than me). Designed to make our farmers weaker and poorer, German and French farmers stronger and richer, and generally we go along with it and suffer whilst the Europeans stick two fingers up to it and get away with it. Not fair. Get rid of it (into the vault) and start afresh. Enough said!!
Ok chaps, over to you.
