Okay so the friendly is against a team called Ullerøy who are in the same division as Rolvsøy (Division 5) but in a different region, similar to when County played Bishop Stortford!

The squad is almost complete now, all that is needed now is a back up goalie and another striker who can compliment a target man well, there were 11 players on trial on Monday but none were what the club needed on their limited resources.
There is currently talks going on with a goalie and a contract offered to another one, there has also been a contract offered to a striker who scored 27 goals last season in this division.
With the first friendly tomorrow against an opponent who is at the same level as them and an almost full squad he should get a good indication of their realistic chances tomorrow night.

Right, first game for Jarkko.....
Rolvsøy started the game very well and were the dominant team for the first 15 minutes and on the 15 minute mark the home sides pressure paid off as Roj Dohoke scored the opener, great one touch passing in the build up completely undid the visitors defence and allowed Dohoke to finish off the move nicely.
Completely against the run of play though, the visitors caught the home side napping after they sloppily lost the ball in defence and carved out an unlikely equaliser, Rolvsøy continued to pressure though and 5 minutes before half-time they, deservedly, re-gained the lead from a good team move that the Ullerøy defence couldn't deal with as one of the visiting defenders bundled the ball into his own net under intense pressure from the attackers.
Half-Time; Rolvsøy 2-1 Ullerøy
Jarkko's Red and Yellow army started the 2nd half as they finished the first, very much on the front foot and they didn't have to wait too long to get a third goal, just 5 minutes into the 2nd half Jon Henrik Gabrielsen finished off a good attacking move by unleashing a rocket of a strike from the edge of the 16 yard box to put Jarkko's men completely in control.
10 minutes later though it was game on, despite controlling the game comfortably, the Rolvsøy goalkeeper made a horrible mistake that he'd rather forget as the visitors grabbed a goal from nothing to make it a 1 goal game again, 5 minutes later though and Rolvsøy restored their 2 goal lead through Erlend Kleven another great finish, this time from 20 yards out.
With 70 minutes of the game played, Jarkko had seen enough from his Senior team and decided to let the kids and trialists play the final 20 minutes, sadly for Jarkko and the young guns, they let their 2 goal lead slip but that was mainly down to a lack of understanding and communication between each other and a simple lack of experience that you'll get with trialists and kids.
Final Score; Rolvsøy 4-4 Ullerøy
Whilst it was disappointing that the home side couldn't hold on for the win, Jarkko has taken mainly positives out of it, it's given him a great idea of what his current players can do and their ability was shown by the fact that they comfortably outplayed a team that are meant to be just as good as them, the last 20 minutes were a bit of a write off really and not a true reflection of the game, given that it was nearly a whole different squad from the previous 70 minutes.

Excellent report, Fudgie, it sounded like a very entertaining first game. The boys seemed to have no trouble finding the back of the net, so that's a great start for the forwards! . Obviously disappointing to concede as many, but that can be tightened up in time. Well done, Jarkko! Two things though: 1) Red and Yellow? Come on, Jarkko, get them playing in BLUE AND WHITE! & 2) 16 yard box? Seriously though, cheers for the update, Fudgie, and congrats again to Jarkko and his team for their part in what sounds like an entertaining game, keep up the good work!

Jarkko played his 2nd game today, another friendly, this time it was against a club called Lervik who are, unusually for a friendly, in the same league as Rolvsøy, Lervik finished very close to the top last year and were very unlucky to not get promoted and are expected to take the league by storm this coming season, so this match would prove a real test for Jarkko to assess how far his squad have come from the handful of players that turned up for training on day one!
The game started pretty evenly with Lervik probably being the better side of the two if you had to pick one, despite a few decent chances for the visitors it was Jarkko's men who struck first on 21 minutes, a great passing move saw the ball land at the feet of trialist, Kawa Aziz, who could have taken on a shot but read the move perfectly to play in team-mate Morten Karlsen for a simple finish to give Rolvsøy a shock lead.
Lervik continued to press but 12 minutes later on 33 minutes, it was 2-0, another move involving trialist Kawa Aziz, he played an excellent one-two with Andre Henriksen who finished beautifully with a chip beyond the stranded goalkeeper, despite being under the cosh for a lot of the half, Rolvsøy found themselves to the surprise of many 2-0 up at half time.
Half Time: Rolvsøy 2-0 Lervik
Lervik would be made to pay in full for their profligacy in the first half as just 7 minutes into the 2nd half it was 3-0, Jon Henrik Gabrielsen showed why there is so much hope surrounding him as he was quickest off the mark to capitalise on a lapse in concentration from the visiting defenders and despite the pressure on him he calmly slotted the ball beyond the goalie.
Impressive trialist and man of the match, Kawa Aziz really proved that he wanted a contract for the up-coming season on the 63 minute mark, 16 year old Hakkon Berthelsen whipped in a great cross that went just over the heads of the Lervik defence and before it had even touch the ground, Aziz had wrapped his foot round it and unleashed a stunning volley passed the shell-shocked goalkeeper to make it 4-0, towards the end of the game the away side did start to pressure for a goal of their own but the scoring was completed near the end of the game with a penalty that was well-placed into the top right hand corner of the goal by Steven Knutsson.
Final Score: Rolvsøy 5-0 Lervik
An absolutely outstanding result against a team that were expected to hammer Jarkko's side, it was a full Lervik side so that gives every indication that after 9 goals in 2 games against teams from the same level, Lervik being from the same division, that the team can clearly score, the result made more impressive by the fact that Jarkko brought on a few kids as well and didn't concede once to the strongest side in the league, whilst it is just a friendly, it is a morale boosting win that will give Jarkko and his team confidence that they can beat the drop.
The trialist Kawa Aziz has worked with Jarkko from his time as a youth coach at Sarpsborg, has been offered a 1 year deal and has agreed to the terms, so now there is just the formality of the signing.
