@fcryan: "Football supporters score only 16% on questions about the business of the game. Great piece of research t.co/hjeuQFzmi0" He wouldn't let it lie.

He just doesn't get it.
Football clubs do not need business men or women at the top, they need business leaders.
McKnight was a below average business man who cut costs to try and balance the books, but succeeded in damaging the club's league status, revenue and reputation at the same time.
He is a million miles from being a leader. His job was to motivate and inspire staff and supporters during a difficult time. Instead he alienated, patronised and failed to communicate every single day of his tenure.
So what if fans don't know about the running of football as a business. He was paid to know about the business of football, make sound decisions based on that knowledge and provide leadership. 0.5 out of 3 ain't good enough - and no amount of research will change that.
It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

And I'd argue that McKnight shouldn't be classed as an 'Ex'Hatter'.
He was never part of the club I know and love.

This! ^^ He was never part of the club I know and love. ...and this! ^^ I am seriously really liking this new highlight text feature! You can highlight quotes from multiple posts and reply to each one in one single post, really sorts out that carbon footprint!

And if he had anything about him he would have significantly increased revenues coming into the club thereby reducing the need to cut back everything in sight , whilst taking a huge salary. Oh and don't get me started on the state of the pitch & we have a full season ahead of us........ I think he knows he is not welcome back at EP.

Our pitch looks like what it is nowadays, an over-sized patch of Council-owned grass.
b*ll*cks to the player fund, a 'bring back Cashy' fund would be much better.

And that just about sums it up, gazza. We are such a basket case, financially, that we have to chose between players and a decent pitch - we can't seem to afford both.

Aaron Wilbraham getting off to a good start with Bristol City.
Scored both of their goals in their 2-1 win yesterday, to add to his strike last weekend.

A few former County players had their scoring boots on too yesterday.
Ellison got a brace for Morecambe, Tansey scored again for Inverness, Mooney for Orient and McConville, two, and a plate of chips, for Chester.

ellison's were both good goals, and tansey's was apparently a rocket, although i haven't seen that one.
