Hope it's stronger than some of those in which he featured against opposing free kicks...:-)

Good defender was Baz. It's uncanny how he came down with Toddy from the north-east, both ended up moving to other clubs, yet both have ended up settling in the area too.

Yes, I liked him, too. Wasn't he the injured player who distracted QPR in the '94 Cup match, while Kev rifled home our first goal?!

Certainly was, matey, and he also had a brilliant header cleared off the line too before Preecey blasted himself into the County history books with that screamer!

Craig Hobson, amazingly, scored for Chester on his debut in midweek.
Another one yesterday, too, for Danny Hatts. His goals look to be doing much in the latter stages of the season to help Southport stay up. How we could have done with not releasing him this time last year, eh?

Ah, that'll be the by-product of the funda mental decisions made by the wonderful Ryan McKnight.

Two ex-Hatters kept Stalyvegas up yesterday, as their goals against Workington were scored by Ennis and McConville. Dicko also played, but was subbed late on.
With 'Staly' safe, and if 'Alty' falter in the Play-offs, we will have some more local tussles in prospect next term, now that Chester and Hyde are coming down. And either FCUM or Ashton (who play each other in the Evo-stik Lottery) are effectively within ninety minutes of joining us, too...

Will Oxford stay up anyway with Vauxhall Motors demoting themselves or is it just the preliminary round of the AGM Cup?

The table in today's Non-League Paper has an 'R' against Oxford's name, although a match report in the same publication simply says that, after playing The Avenue: "The draw sees them drop a place in the final table."
It was my assumption that, with The Motors resigning, the third-bottom team would be reprieved - but, as you say, archie, this could well be one for resolution off the pitch in June...

As far as I know Oxford City have been reprieved. Below from their Facebook page.
Jason Singerling I hope Oxford City will build the squad to be a stronger squad for next season. I would like to see Oxford City be good enough to make play off finals at worst. Even better win Conference North title. 21 hours ago · Like
