OK, after taking relief it's time to play. All the pre-season kidding and speculation is over and the real stuff is about to begin. Has the team gelled, who has impressed, who will be first out of the revolving door ? Is the team strong enough to push for honours, will other ambitious clubs leave us behind ? Thoughts on a postcard................ or better still enter them in the limerick competition !!!! Pre-season has now been and went ! Have the last three weeks been well spent ? Is this our year in the sun ? Or will we be undone by Boston ? ..................................................... Come along, newbies and oldies alike. You've had your warm sessions - get some in. Right, then... with no further entries in, it's results-time! Excellent collection of rhymes to kick off the campaign-proper - so, many thanks to all those who contributed. Honourable mentions go to: - Archie, who went for the flattery angle with "Just as well this week's judge is a gent." Aaawww! No medal on this occasion. But there will certainly be a pint with your name on it, the next time we meet! - Ceefer and Eppers, for punning to great effect: the former, musically, with " More than a Feeling a win will signal our intent."; and the latter, with the latest gem relating to our Sierra Leonean hero, "Looking forward to seeing Abs, he's got 'bags' of talent!" But, on such a joyful morning after the Opening Day before, the podium just has to be populated with unbridled optimism...  - Taking the Bronze Medal... More than happy with Silver after seeing what I was up against. Many thanks, Maccy! Congrats to Countyfan on his Bronze, and to Downy on a thoroughly deserving winning line.
