Very good performance from the boys. From the get go we attacked them and created some great chances. Baggie seemed a bit more contained today but still made a nuisance of himself. County deservedly took the lead through a great bit of quick thinking and expertise from Ledsham. Sadly United did equalise in the 2nd half as the quality and fitness difference seemed to.be finally taking its toll. However County didnt buckle and kept taking the game to United and were unfortunate not to win. I imagine that United team would be a solid Conference, League Two or possinly even League One side so.a very positive result and performance! Good post BF. We just need that little better finishing. They should have scored second half, but we forced corners and there was the goalmouth scramble god only knows how we didn't score. Good to see us taking the game to them. End to end stuff and very entertaining. Looked like more than 2278 attendance to me.
Anyone know the ManU line up for yesterday?

I could swear that I tweeted the details yesterday, ceefer - but there doesn't appear to be any trace of them on Twitter now!
Anyway...
Starters: Pereira (g/k), Love (Capt.), Varela, Borthwick-Jackson, Digby, Fosu-Mensah, El Fitouri, Grimshaw, Redmond, Wilcock, Weir.
Subs: Mitchell, Henderson (g/k), Fletcher, Riley, O'Hara (g/k).
Interesting that one of the reserve 'keepers was Henderson, who had been rumoured to be on his way here on a season-long Youth Loan. I guess that may not be happening, after all.

I wonder if both parties were waiting for this friendly? United in particular, so they check out the set up here (with us being a part-time regional club at the moment) to make sure we'd be able to help develop him, and also Neil Young was maybe hoping to get a decent look at Henderson in action and a chat with him after the game once he'd seen us in action? Just a thought.

Possibly, matey - although Henderson didn't get on the pitch, so there was no chance to see him in action.
Speaking with one of the United media people before the game, I was given to understand that the tweeted leak about the loan was entirely unofficial and had no substance... and Paul Tyson's appearance in the squad photo suggests that we may already have our second 'keeper sorted.

Ah, that's fair enough, matey. Thanks for clearing that up.

No worries, Gaz-man. Of course, knowing (or, rather, not knowing!) the politics and business of football moves, I could still turn out to be wrong... Sounds on the grapevine as if Ellison is signing, though. Which, on the basis of his solid trial-performances to date, is something worth celebrating!
