I will leave this to "fester" over night and deliver a verdict tomorrow.
I am sure that will be a few more celebratory posts to come later.
The "engine" is already running on the next one. Does anyone know when the Bradford re-match is ?

To all our Heaveners, A Happy New Year. Wishing footballing success, to give cheer. What "Resolution" we'll see Away to Gainsborough T ? More points and we're seven points clear!

"Time for a decision". Alas, no Hattie to help with the choices but I can report that a sub. springer spaniel will be coming off the bench very shortly. (watch this space). So:- A wonderful collection of puns, rhymes and jollities to peruse. 17 or so entries from the usual crowd. Bronze Medal:- County Fan - "I'm doing Dryathlon so can't even celebrate our win with a beer!" Our thoughts are with you during your self-imposed barren period. Silver Medal:- Sir Roger - "I'm so happy, I'm swinging from our chandelier!" Gold Medal:- Fudge - "The Holy Blues have God on their side, I fear!!" Although totally wrong in it's prediction, it made me laugh at the time and showed a little "homework" had been done by BF. Special mention for Macca's Shakepearian effort, Gazz'a Musketeer connection and County Fan's John Deere mention. An excellent set of limericks all round. Thank you for taking the effort to join in. Mr Gainsborough is waiting on "the other side" to complete the portrait commission for you Fudgie.

Looking forward to seeing some pics of our new resident canine Heavener, Lennie! Just waiting to hear back from the Re-homing Trust as to when they may have a suitable young lad or lass for us. Can't promise that this one will have as good a County name as old Hattie, bless her.

I think it's brilliant what you do, Lennie. If only there were a lot more real dog lovers out there like yourself, mate.
As Maccy said, please keep us posted.
