Exactly right, Britain is a hairbreadth away from a fascist dictatorship right now.

It now turns out they had a couple of Christmas parties last year as well.
Trust is a very little word.

History tells us that Tory PMs are usually stabbed in the back. The 1922 Committee is surely concerned when the lefty media like the Mail, the Times and Sky are voicing doubts. It's noticeable that the major contenders like Sunak, Truss and Javid are keeping a very low profile.

The guy has been sacked from every job he has ever had !! This is going to be no different.
I think a huge ground swell of tsunami proportions is building and he will get what he deserves. No doubt he has a publishing deal lined up to make up his "chicken feed" salary.
I can't stand Ant and Dec but full marks for calling him out last night. New programme "I'm a Lying Conniving Bastard - Get me Out of Here !"

We seem to have reached a point where the next Prime Minister will be anointed by the largely well-to-do, middle-aged, population of the shire counties that form the Tory membership of approximately 180,000 (as of 2019). Those who object to climate policies despite clear evidence it's man-made because their narrow, self-satisfied view of the world won't permit them to look beyond the end of their own noses. The halfwits who drove Brexit and the selfish f***ers demanding tax cuts at the expense of public services.
From whom will they be able to choose? Sajid Javid or rather "The Saj" as he rather pompously likes to be called), an individual who entered politics from the rarefied atmosphere of banking, a man who made his fortune selling the very derivatives that caused the financial crash, that led his former employer, Deutschbank to be fined millions for its role in the debacle.
Priti Patel whose sustained assault on basic rights like that of the right to protest amongst others, whose utterly repellent views on migrants make her stand out as a particularly nasty bastard.
Or perhaps the terminally gormless Dominic Raab who stated earlier this week that the Government is likely to introduce legislation that will allow ministers to override legal decisions when it suits them, yes! A law that makes ministers literally, above the law.
Or even the delightful Liz Truss, darling of the Daily Express which, in between its daily attempts to redefine the expression "gutter press" like to loudly trumpet every trade deal she signs with some tiny country no-one has ever heard of in between threatening Putin over the Ukraine as she was earlier today.
Or then there is Rishi Sunak who recently upped national insurance contributions as opposed to say, increasing taxes which are only paid after certain income thresholds have been reached, in a bid to reduce the burden on those most able to afford it. And why? To save some cash to finance tax cuts in the run-up to the next general election. Yep! literally bribe you to vote Tory with your own money!!
Some f***ing choice, but not to worry, you don't actually have a choice, unless you're a member of the Tory Party, so that's alright then.

Quelle f***ing surprise...
From the Guardian:
The Metropolitan police say they will not investigate allegations of a party at Downing Street due to an “absence of evidence” and a force policy not to investigate retrospective breaches of coronavirus regulations.
This is obviously despite a leaked video yesterday, published by ITV News, in which the prime minister’s former spokesperson Allegra Stratton joked about the party in question, referencing cheese and wine being served and laughing about the lack of social distancing. In a statement, Scotland Yard said:
"The Metropolitan Police Service has received a significant amount of correspondence relating to allegations reported in the media that the health protection (coronavirus, restrictions) regulations were breached at gatherings at No 10 Downing Street in November and December 2020.
All this correspondence has been considered by detectives in detail, as well as footage published by ITV News. The correspondence and footage does not provide evidence of a breach of the health protection regulations, but restates allegations made in the media.
Based on the absence of evidence and in line with our policy not to investigate retrospective breaches of such regulations, the Met will not commence an investigation at this time.
The Met has had discussions with the Cabinet Office in relation to the investigation by the cabinet secretary. If any evidence is found as a result of that investigation, it will be passed to the Met for further consideration."
Above the law then.

The Police are notoriously reluctant to get involved in what they deem to be political issues, conveniently ignoring the fact that every time they police a politically motivated demo, they are by definition involved in political issues.
The issue you mention is of course important because it undermines trust and faith in the political system. What Raab was proposing earlier this week is by several orders of magnitude more dangerous. It would, for example allow ministers to prorogue parliament even if the judiciary decided it was unlawful. Think about that for a moment because that is precisely what the Tories tried to do in order to steamroller Brexit through the House of Commons.
It would also allow them to ignore a significant number of cases currently being brought against the government by the Good Law Project, the overwhelming majority of which have, thus far gone against the Government. Raab's proposals pose a direct threat to what passes for democracy in this country and should be resisted at all costs because the antics pulled by this mob of f***ing charlatans in recent years have demonstrated beyond all reasonable doubt that if they think they can get away with it, they almost certainly will.

Johnson must surely have appointed one of his mates in an uncredited role sometime in the past - 'minister in charge of piss-take think-tank'.
Someone's almost certainly been sat behind a desk and charged with dreaming up fresh ideas on how low they can actually go.

I must admit I have a sneaky admiration for Johnson, the man has more lives than a cat, skin like Teflon and brings cutehoorism to a whole new level. You wouldn't want him in the trenches with you that's for sure but one thing that would be guaranteed is he would be last man standing.
