And, with that last exhortation - sadly in vain - from ceefer, I shall call time on this contest. Grateful thanks to all who submitted what turned out to be a very healthy amount of rhyming - considering that end-of-season fatigue has well and truly set in on the pitch! Anyway, without further ado, here are the results from the Macc Jury: In third place, archie, for his suggestion that a victory yesterday 'Might stop MMB's sad discord.' Clever... but a tad too optimistic! Collecting the Silver Medal, downy - drawing on inspiration from our recent 'C.H.U.M.S.' selections with 'And his favourite song? I Wanna Be Adored.' I guess that if a certain Mr Gannon were to return to pick up the managerial reins once more, the Stone Roses track on everyone's minds would be I Am The Resurrection, eh?! And, talking of whom... This week's winner, after arriving at the party late due to his overseas trip, is eppers, for his Python-influenced lament, 'And we're pining for Jim, like a fjord'. Nice work, my friend - the judging robes are yours! The final competition of the season, ahead of our hosting Harrogate, has already been posted by Sir Len - so, let us make it a bumper one for entries!

Can't argue with any of those, Maccy, excellently judged. Well done to archie and Downy on their respective bronze and silver medals, and deserving win for Eps!
Cheers as always to the Lenmeister!

Lennie signing in from deepest darkest Budle Bay Bamburough.
Keeping an eye on you even though tinted net is intermittent.
Well done with this one folks. Great win for Eppers.

Thanks for the bronze, Maccy. Well done to Downy and especially Eppers but good work everyone. On to the next one with a bumper turnout to reward Lennie's hard work all season.
