Very good read and that parsnip bit certainly rings a bell.. I mean who really likes parsnips anyway....vile things rings a bell with me too. On our works Christmas do back in the 80s we went to The Rudyard Carvery in Heaton Chapel, but with me being around 17/18 at the time and as green as Robin Hood's outfit I didn't have the first idea what was what. So when I came to the section that was serving what I thought was a mountain of chips, I told the assistant to "pile the plate up". After covering my meat, veg and 'chips' in what must have been a gallon of gravy and going back to my table, I tucked into my of 'chips' first......yep, you guessed it - parsnips! Bloody awful! I ate what little meat and veg I was able to find around them and ended up starving for the rest of the night. I'd never eaten parsnips before that day, have never touched them since and I don't think I ever will.

Deeply disturbing, secretly arousing, or a little of both?! You decide!

Reminded me of Red Dwarf's Rimmerworld. I think it's; 1/3 deeply disturbing 2/1 secretly disturbing 5/1 secretly arousing

Goody. That represents a 125% book which means that I should win £25 on every £100 staked even without the 1000/1 deeply arousing.

See, all I heard was 'deeply arousing'.

Loved today's blog... especially the rhyming of near with mirror!

Loved today's blog... especially the rhyming of near with mirror! Thanks! Although I can't claim the credit for that particular rhyme, as it was unchanged from the original lyrics!
