The dream team at Dundee didn't work out, I see Hardly surprising, Eps! “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” - Albert Einstein

Patrick Vieira: Crystal Palace boss involved in altercation with pitch invader after Everton defeat - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61517333Dion Dublin: "We know it is only one or two who spoiled it for everyone else. Having fans on the pitch is not the way forward. We need to stop letting fans, or allowing fans to get on the pitch. It is too dangerous."f*** off, Dublin, don't talk shite. Why was he on the pitch anyway? He should have been down the f***ing tunnel like anyone else with any sense after such a massive result for the home side.

There is no blanket solution as implied by Dublin. No-one will accept fences again and police costs are exorbitant. Maybe better CCTV to identify proper lawbreakers and then banning orders.
In this particular case, Vieira can be excused because away teams at Goodison are still using the 'temporary' changing room that has access to the pitch via the corner at the opposite side of the pitch from the dug-outs. Everton should have had the foresight to organise some kind of security for Palace staff after the match.

Interesting line on our Blackpool Walking Football whatsapp group.
Not since 1961 have the Dingles, The Nobbers, The Chicken Bothers, The Pie Munchers and the Donkey Lashers been in the second tier of football together. A few Lancashire Derbies to look forward to.

There was once a Preston manager - Gary Peters? - who refused ever to utter Blackpool's name in public, preferring to refer to them as 'that lot with the Tower'!

Andy Goram: Scotland and Rangers goalkeeping great dies aged 58 - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61460438While it was expected, it's still really sad news. My brother lives in Scotland and met him in a pub once up there and had a good chat with him, with our kid saying he was a lovely fella. He told Andy we were both mad Gazza fans that always looked out for Rangers' results, and he got me his autograph. He signed it to me, with the message "Gazza was offside at Wembley" and a smiley face. A great guy, a great keeper from a great team. RIP, Andy.

So glad I baled out of the "ratrace". You never know what is round the corner and, since you only get one go down here, it's as well to make the most of it and wage slavery is definitely over-rated.

That's so very sad. Great 'keeper, and, as everyone is saying in tributes to him, a lovely man.
RIP, Andy.
