Some MB members suggest a boycott of the game and have Alan send a scratch squad if it is to be replayed, I totally agree with that. Let Hyde have their game, and send the kids up, let the game cost them more than than it costs us.

If this match has to be replayed do those who were at the first game get any kind of discount/refund for the first game? It seems like Hyde want to cash in on two 1,500 gates. I couldn't imagine how this might operate - given that no tickets, or any other means of proof of admission, were issued on Saturday. And, besides, if a replay were to be ordered, Hyde would surely seek to milk us as a cash-cow for one last time in at least a year...! I thought about this as well and wondered why some clubs dont give you a ticket. Now I know why. If there is to be a replay the very least Hyde should do is heavily reduce the ticket price. If not they are really taking the p**s As someone else said before the time it took to discuss the suspending of the game we could have played out the match.

The annoying thing is that it appeared that it took the referee 6 minutes to make a decision to come off and tell everybody.
A quick word with the captains about keeping it sensible would have sufficed and seen the game out.
Sorry, Ceefer, only just read your post above !!!
Great minds etc etc

If it is a rematch I suspect a lot of County fans will stay away as a protest. Attendance won't be above 600.

Decision now made by the Conference (a day early, but not an April Fool, it would appear...): Words, frankly, fail me.

What a f**king farce.
This league is a complete and utter joke. This game needs boycotting, total non-attendance by County fans. Hit the greedy b*st*rds where it hurts.
Astonishing decision. I suggest all fans who would normally go to stay at home and put their money into the players' fund/HtH/coop coffers. b*ll*cks to this league and to Hyde.

Where is 'The Board' based? I think we should arrange a sponsored walk there.
Fully armed.

Unbelievable !!!!
Complete travesty of justice. The referee needs seeing to with a pair of rusty pair of scissors.

I have been assured that the decision was made with the utmost professionalism, with the concerns of both parties taken into account. I was also sent a photo of the committee: "Kenny, get me Zantac..."

Words, frankly, fail me. and that unusually vituperative smiley from macca sums it up for me. can't really see any obvious rhyme or reason to the decision, but like most of us, i didn't have a lot of confidence in the board to come to a sensible one.

I have just e-mailed the Conference Board with the following. I suspect I won't receive a reply:
As a Stockport County fan, I just wanted to say how disappointed I am in the ruling that the full 90 minutes from our abandoned game against Hyde must be replayed.
In the 6 or 7 minutes it took the referee to decide to abandon the match, it could have been completed. The players wanted to continue. The fans wanted it to continue.
Whilst the referee's decision to abandon the match was ridiculous, this has been surpassed by your ruling that the full game will have to be replayed, particularly bearing in mind the result means very little to County's season, and significantly less to the already-relegated Hyde.
No doubt Hyde will be rubbing their hands together at another lucrative tie against the club with the biggest away following in the league, and I can only assume they have applied considerable pressure in encouraging you to make this decision, but I sincerely hope no County fans attend and we send a development squad to play the match.
This is nothing against Hyde, as our experience of their club was fantastic, but County fans should not be fleeced in this manner.
You are most likely unaware that I organised a sponsored walk to and from Ewen Fields on Saturday, to raise funds for Kidscan - a children's cancer charity based in Salford - and the decision to make the game that we attended entirely pointless, has soured what was a fantastic achievement on our part. Thanks for that.
For two seasons, I have had to defend the level that our club currently play at, with references to 'tin pot' and 'part time' frequently thrown at us. I have to admit I'll now struggle to disagree with comments like that, when decisions such as this one - which I can only assume involved the toss of a coin and no real regard to common sense - are made.
Such a shame that you have chosen to make this league such a laughing stock. I can only hope that, if the original game is declared entirely void, you are not stupid enough to try and argue that Matthew Todd's red card should stand. You can't have it both ways. Unless, of course, you declare that County should play the full 90 minutes with just 10 men?
I await your next 'roll a 6 to start' decision with interest.

That's absolutely spot on, Sandy, particularly regarding the Hike to the game that never was, and the red card from the game that never was.
I'm sure they'll make 'special' allowances for us and grant young Toddy his red card...........
Bleeding clowns.
