A very exciting 1-0, if I'm honest! PHOTO OF THE DAY! Our very own Maccster giving a lecture even when he's not working in Salford...

Excellent result and some much needed positive news this week.
I bet Alan can't believe it: he's managed to produce positive results whilst the unsettlung stench of McKnight lingered over the club, and now this! He must wonder what he did in a former life.
Thanks for the live updates, Macc. Another sterling effort which is much appreciated.

It was very helpful to receive the updates whilst cooking my first barbecue of the year!

not surprising you had a barby, duds; cos barely into march the game had a bit of an end of season quality to it. this is slightly worrying since i have a lot more county traveling to do this season and much of it was dull as ditchwater today. no really exciting performances but for the most part i was left wondering exactly what our two attacking midfielder/creatives are contributing. although wilkinson slipped glover in in the build up to the goal, we're not getting enough end product out of either of them. baker showed earlier in the season what a lurking menace he can be arriving late in the box, but it's not been clicking for him for a while.
that massive clearance from their 'keeper gave me flashbacks to the fifty yard block dropping into hurst's net at bradford, and we benefited from omar bogle not showing his previous form too - he missed the target with a poor header just after we'd scored, and late in the first half when he was played in, i had time to think that the top scorer in the division was in on goal and would probably have the confidence and composure to round hurst with ease...before he fell over to much relief (and ridicule).
any three points is a good three points, and we might have just edged it today, but we're still not creating a lot. i heard danny gregson say to someone outside that -if i heard correctly- he has a four week wait for the operation, then three months of rehab. hopefully he'll be fixed for the start of next season then, and hopefully we can get a mostly injury free season out of kristian dennis because we certainly need his spark and finish - that's been quite evident the last few games.
would rather be moaning about the qualities of a win any day though!

Happy with the 3 points. Windy and very bright sunlight. I as hoping with us kicking off towards the RE, and the sun really bright we would have made more of the advantage. Plenty of shots but 99% off target and way off target at that. Spencer had a penalty call turned down and there were 2 dodgy passbacks that Breeden in goal handled; yet no action from the ref!. Todd was MOTM and played very well but so did O'Halloran (yes sorry banging the drum again but he is consistently good and is not afraid to take the ball forwards). At half time there needs to be more commercial involved - tell us about upcoming events apart from matches, visit the club shop cos we've got new things in or a sale on certain items etc.. Here's an interesting thread from the Moors Forum which I guess summed it for them.. bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/t2461
