Thanks a lot mate!
I knew the defending was bad at the time but didn't realise just how bad!

Excellent touch from Dennis to set himself up. Good poaching from Glover. Their attackers ran some interesting diagonals to cut us open easily.
Let's just take three points and be done

Apparently the fourth goal has gone down as an OG !! I said at the time to Brad that it was a valiant effort to miss the target from 2 yards. Thank goodness Agent Lewis came to our rescue. And then the Cheadle End booed him at the end when he came to take his congratulatory bow. No thanks given.

I actually gave Kingy a round of applause, he didn't have to come over to us!
I really don't see why he's disliked!

i think it was partly because his dad joined yellowboard but didn't say who he was for a while, just posted in his defence. because there are some w**kers over there they properly went to town on his dad, and to be fair, his dad acted like an arsehole as well. just one of the many unsavoury things that was associated with county at that time. the club has moved forward somewhat since then, but clearly king hasn't forgotten. then obviously acting like he did at bower fold and over-celebrating yesterday just gives further grist to the mill of those who were going after him when he was a county player, but also winds the wider fanbase up as well. all a bit unnecessary, and over for this season at least.

Perfectly put, I alluded to the King snr/MMMB spat myself on another thread, but you've pretty much nailed the root cause of King's 'beef' with us with that post, mate.

His actions at Bower Fold were no different to how I would have been in the same situation! I'm not saying it was right but if you're clinging on to a 3-2 lead in a local derby I can see how tempers would flair up and petulance would creep in!
His Dad was an idiot but that isn't Lewis' fault, I've heard he actually told his dad to pack it in as it was getting him unnecessary grief! He was one of the more consistent keepers we've seen at EP since Wembley so I quite like him for that alone!

Agree with all of that, fudgie, and I was one of King's fans while he was with us. That said, he should look no further than his Dad and a very small number of idiots if he ever questions why it all got to this.
As you say, understandable celebrations, but unnecessary by the same token.

Perfectly summed up matey! No side has covered themselves in glory but for me, I'm going to choose to remember the positive impact Kingy had with us and leave it at that!

i have no issue with a player celebrating because they are pleased with a goal. i have an issue with somebody motivated by a misplaced hatred (king) or where they're a nonentity that we never had a problem with in the first place, yet trying to wind us up (vidal the other week). i liked king when he was at county too - preferred him to ormson actually, because he was more vocal. however, he has blotted his copybook i think, and was only ok as a 'keeper anyway; certainly not a patch on richard o'donnell who came in later that season, or danny hurst right now.

Also, I firmly believe that had we had O'Donnell all season or at least a lot earlier in the campaign we would have stayed up, but obviously that's another issue entirely.

I agree, but with the boards constant lying to Gannon about what he had to spend and what he had to make up. You wonder with a bit of honesty to Jim could we have got him earlier?!
Anyway thats a story for another day!
