Court in session..... what you mean "oi, oi, oi"? ... must have court in session!! Ordahhhh! My name is Judge Roughneck, and I will not tolerate any disobedience in my courtroom!.......Rude boyyy, you have been brought in front of me, and charged with smashin' this woman's windah!......... ... hang on, wrong case........ ahem...... sorry. Ok, the three best Limericks, yes that's what we're here for......... sorry..... Ok. In spite of some seriously strong competition from ceefer, countyfan and archie, my top three are as follows: At three we have Maccy with the very clever: "And increased the old Barrow wheelbase!" I don't expect anything less from our resident master of the play on words! At two is Downy with the optimistic: "I hope they take defeat in good grace." How can we not put a line relating to a County win on the podium? Exactly! and my winner this time around is Eps with the brilliant: "To work for this club you need a thick carapace". Superb line among other quality entries from him, and so true! So enjoy your Golden Quill award, mate! Thanks to everyone for playing, the standard was superb again!
Thanks to Lennie for yet another quality game. I'll now hand you over to Judge Eps for the next game, and trust me, he doesn't take any sh*t!
I'm off for another moonstomp, cya!

Thank ye very much, Gazzaarrman. Good choice, and a clever rhyme word from Eppy. Shame the game was off and I shall now have to think of two more Barrow inspired limericks before the end of the season (after the many needed to see them off last year). I did enjoy having a slap at the "American" investment this time, beats Barrow flooding the pitch to bring their new sub. on !! Onward and upward, as Stalybridge hit town this weekend. New one will be up and running tomorrow.

Nice to see Mr Jabsco in skanking good form there, Gazza!
Cheers for the Bronze Medal, matey - and congratulations to Downy and, especially, Eppers.
Great work, as ever, Sir Len. Onwards unto 'Vegas'...!

Woo hoo - cheers gazza. I'll got my hands full judging the next one - literally with a golden quill in one hand and a gavel in the other.
I feel a bit of a cheat only posting after the event, but I'd not had any time earlier to post. I had some pre-postponement ideas around agadoo and joe dolce, but they'll have to wait for antother time.
Well played everyone who entered, and thanks Lennie for keeping us rhyming.

A wise judgement, Gazza. I'll forgive Eppy for borrowing my 'Ace Of Base' for one of his other attempts and congratulate him for 'carapace' which is obviously a better rhyme. Well done to the other podium sitters and thanks, as usual, to Lennie for making it all happen.
