First update (and we very nearly had a long list of bands/artists with just the one vote until Fudgie stepped in):
Tears for Fears 2 Talking Heads 1 Talk Talk 1 Taylor, James 1 Teenage Fanclub 1 Temptations, The 1 Thin Lizzy 1 Traffic 1 Travis 1 T-Rex 1
Lastly, due to popular consensus, we'll stick with Week X as normal, but I might consider doing a best-runner up bonus track.

I don't have anything for X. XX Teens would probably make a long-list, but that's all. Happy to go with Week X
Regarding numbers, I didn't think to include them in the relevant week. It wouldn't have made any difference though - 60 Ft. Dolls wouldn't have topped The Stone Roses, but I'd like to add 2Cellos to my shortlist for this week (although I'm sticking with Teenage Fanclub)

2Cellos are very impressive and it's worth checking out their 'Smooth Criminal' cover on Youtube folks, if you haven't already.

Sorry, but Tears For Fears might have been ok, but come on, look at the quality of this collection so far. We really don't want Tears for Fears on this CD, do we?... Might as well go all out and put Phil Collins on there for good measure! Come on, Heaveners, you have the power! Don't force me to change my vote to Travis!

@ Sandy: if nobody else votes for Talking Heads I'm changing my vote to James Taylor. Just so you know!

Fair enough. No chance of a late push for Terrorvision then, huh?

No worries, so long as it's not that godawful remix of 'Tequila' - the original of which was actually pretty good!

The remix was done by Mint Royale and was quite dancy. Chances are it's that one you've heard though. Decent video, mind, with Sean Hughes from Never Mind the Buzzcocks fame in it (a show which the lead singer appeared on a few times as it happens).

If so then that'll be the one I've heard. I'll have to look out for the original, which album is it on, Sandy?
