Blackpool Supporters Trust
Valeri Belokon has filed a high court claim against the Oystons; details below. "Valeri Belokon confirms that yesterday his company VB Football Assets (a shareholder in Blackpool Football Club (BFC)) issued a claim for unfair prejudice in the London High Court against Messrs Owen Oyston and Karl Oyston and their company Segesta Limited. Mr Belokon also confirms that VB Football Assets has issued related proceedings against Segesta Limited concerning an investment it made in July 2008. Belokon has filed the claim mainly because, since Club’s promotion to the Premier League, millions of pounds of BFC monies were transferred by the Oystons from the BFC to Oystons’ companies via unsecured interest-free loans and directors’ remuneration payments. The claims were filed with the High Court on behalf of VB Football Assets by Clifford Chance on September 15, 2015." BST has been in communication with Latvia about this eventuality. A more detailed statement from the Trust will be released shortly. BST Committee

If you Google "Clifford Chance Solicitors" you will find they are one of the top London set-ups and they won't come cheap.
And Belekon is the guy who took on the Kyrgyzstan government and won !!!! A mere £16.5 million repaid in compensation. Oyston must be feeling a tightening of his sphincter muscles.

a very strange occurrence tonight on the lancashire coast. the clouds momentarily cleared over gloomfield road as blackpool recorded their first home victory since january, 2-0 against chesterfield, with the first goal scored by former county loanee, mark cullen. where does that fit into the oyston masterplan?!?

Rumour has it Blackpool won again.... Ex-County loanee Mark Cullen bagged the goal, and another former loanee Tom Aldred was man of the match too. Well done to Mark and Tom and to Blackers, let's hope they can string a few more together!

I was honoured to represent Blackpool Senior Seasiders Walking Football Group at Jimmy Armfield's 80th birthday celebrations last night.
350 guests in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom served up a wonderful meal and entertainment from players past and present going all the way back to the 1953 cup-final team.
Jimmy himself made a wonderful self-depreciating speech about his career and how lucky he was to be in the right place at the right time with the set of right players for his style. He is true gentleman of the game and how he has not been knighted yet is a mystery to all.
And ...................... not an Oyston in site.

Very good, Fudgie! Sounds as if a splendid evening was had by all, Lennie. Jimmy Armfield really is one of football's good guys. It would be nice to think that the current 'Pool situation might be on the upturn before he enjoys too many more birthdays...

He is true gentleman of the game and how he has not been knighted yet is a mystery to all. Sounds like a fabulous evening, matey. What a man Mr Armfield is, and I'm sure he realised that he himself was also in the presence of a legend! to the both of you!
