For all Newcomers (and regulars who conveniently forget) here are the rules of engagement.
I will provide 4 lines of a topical limerick - all you have to do is come up with a suitable ending.
1 it should rhyme (please note Dudley) ie Lines 1, 2 and 5 (and also lines 3 and 4)
2 it should scan (well just about)
3 it can take the mickey out of a fellow Heavener (but only in a kind and thoughtful way)
4 it must be relevant to recent events or opponent's circumstances 5 it makes us all laugh
Winners announced whenever I think a limerick has run its course. Each week the previous winner will be your "guest judge".
The Judge's decision is final.
In the case of a dispute - my decision is final
and in the case of an appeal -my first decision will still be final.
Mainly though, it is here to be enjoyed and help us through the dark times.

Great to see that the Lounge has survived the journey, Lennie!
Look forward to plenty more rhyming in the new era:-)

Agreed, Maccy. Thanks for judging the last one on my behalf, Lennie, I was indeed really busy trying to finish this place off ready for the opening. Looking forward to the next one!

Lennie: I have 'sticky-fied' the rules, so that they remain at the top of the pile.
