Woo hoo! We're in Seventh (County) Heaven, after getting to one under the eight on the consecutive home League victories front...
Here's our programme article from this afternoon. Eagle-eyed Heaveners who bought a copy of today's issue may also have spotted yours truly in the 'Fanzone' (pp 14-15). Camera didn't get my best side, mind...

Welcome back to Edgeley Park for the second successive Saturday, and to our visitors from Hednesford. Rather quirkily, today will see the Hatters complete their fixtures for 2014/15 against The Pitmen - while there remain half a dozen Conference North outfits who we have yet to encounter at all this term!
Hednesford were the one team last season to achieve ‘the double’ over County - so, having avoided a repeat of that fate second time around, courtesy of our draw at Keys Park in September, the Boys in Blue will surely be going all out to step up a further notch with a win this afternoon. We certainly seem to be making a habit of gaining improved results against sides that got the better of us last year - as evidenced by our added-time victory at EP over Brackley seven days ago. Long may the trend continue!
Finally, a belated warm welcome from County Heaven to our latest loanee, and debutant from last Saturday, Andy Owens. And a REALLY belated one to Lee Stevenson, who was already well into his second loan-spell here by the time we remembered our manners. Oops! Still, it’s the thought that counts…
Now then, Sandy, I hear you’ve been to Center Parcs? Did you enjoy getting back to nature?!

I did indeed. As you know, I’m no great lover of the City... or Unit*d for that matter!
Speaking of trophy-hunting prima donnas (tenuous link alert), our members have become obsessed with titles of late - and I don’t mean ‘Sir’ Roger. First, Archie and Maccy jointly won my last quiz, resulting in them being named as captains for our first-ever Team Treasure Hunt. Each have set off driving a (virtual) car full of Heaveners to follow clues around the country, so stay tuned over the next few weeks to see who wins!
Archie also held on to claim the Prediction League crown for October, snatching the title from Dudley thanks to RvP’s last minute equaliser against Chelski. Then, Countyfan won ‘Last German Standing’ - mostly thanks to having drawn Bayern Munich in the sweepstake - before Lennie was named Limerick champ for Harrogate away. And, while there isn’t a monthly winner of our jokes thread, Epworth would surely have claimed October’s prize for his ‘first woman on the moon’ gag - pop over and have a read!
Finally, it was with great sorrow that our members learned a good friend and fellow Heavener, Countytom, recently lost his Dad - also a Hatters fan, who a number of us had the pleasure to know - following a short illness. Tom placed a fitting tribute in the Brackley programme last weekend, but, on behalf of everyone at CHHQ, our thoughts are with Tom and his family at this saddest of times.
Enjoy the game.
