Good afternoon everyone.
Quiz No.68 will start on Monday 10th November.
As you will by now be aware, the last quiz was jointly won by Archie and Maccy. I did consider setting a tie-break quiz to find an outright winner, but have since decided to let them share the prize between them in exchange for a little reward.
The reward is that, for the next quiz, they will be our team captains!
Yes, Quiz 68 will split the 12 of you (as I'm assuming everyone who took part in the last quiz will want to join in!) into two teams of 6:
Team 1:
Team 2:
Now, I don't want this to end up as a playground popularity contest where someone gets the embarrassment of being picked last (God knows I've suffered that enough in my life to sympathise) so for the next week there will be a private thread between myself, Archie and Maccy where the teams will be picked.
I'll then reveal them next week, ready for the quiz to start on the following Monday. No further details about the quiz until then!
Exciting huh?!
Cheers
Sandy

The scene in 'Kes' when the two captains (one of which is Mr Sugden) 'pick their teams.....'Walker, Crossley......Casper'

Ok Quizzers, the teams have been chosen. Team Maccy won the coin toss, so he got first pick. To save any blushes/bragging, I'll announce the teams in alphabetical order (with the exception of each team Captain). So, without further ado, here are the teams:
Archie (Captain) Bradninch Bringbacklenwhite Dudley Market Harborough Shropshire
Hatter in Macc (Captain) Calliope Down Under Epworth Gazza Sir Roger
The quiz starts on Monday. If anyone is likely to be unable to play at all between now and Christmas, please let me know and I can arrange for you to play in advance via PM or e-mail to make sure your team don't miss out on valuable points.
See you on Monday.
Sandy

They look pretty fair teams looking at age, experience and knowledgability. (that's a new word I have just invented). Archie's Hotshots vs Macca's Misfits. The blagging starts here.

Someone's obviously scared of my superior quizzing skills (67 down and not won yet!) as I was nobbled earlier.
(My money's on macc).

On the contrary, Downy. I specifically chose you and Spanish-based Calliope to give Team Macc its international flair!

Very shrewd thinking.
Now can we just win this bloody thing as 67 quizzes without a sniff of victory is hard to take even for a County fan!

Sorry Archie!
Mind you with welshies, frenchies, siestas, scousers (yes you Gazza!) and convicts on their side we might be in with a chance!
