Brackley Town - the Home of F1. Another team to show how we're undone. With their Silverstone fame, Perhaps a turbo-charged game ? Played at a pace faster than Lewis Hamilton!* *whose Mercedes team is also based at Brackley....... smug mode! Do I win?

Righteo. Having received a gentle nudge from Lennie, here are the decisions of the Sandbach jury:
In third place, we have a tie. It was going to go solely to Dudley, partly because I liked the idea that our defence are a bad pun (even though that doesn't make any sense), but also because I felt sorry for him after Maccy cruelly picked on him, so he deserves a podium finish. However, I also quite liked Rog's "Fat lady singing has begun", and indeed this would have featured higher up the podium had Rog been a_r_sed to type out or cut and paste the rest of the limerick, but he's demoted to joint bronze for sheer laziness!
Taking the silver, and just missing out on the title, is Gazza with "Never mind that, where has our County_fan gone?" as I felt this summed up, not only his absence from the limerick lounge (seriously, you better not still be hiding in Sirius' garden mate), but also the general feeling of wondering where ALL the County fans have gone after such a poor attendance on Saturday.
And so, to the winner. A man who needs no introduction.

What? He does? Oh ok.
Gold goes to.....
Fudgie, for 'Losing just isn't much fun' which must be the biggest understatement of 2013 since someone uttered on Hardcastle Road a few months back "That McKnight is a bit of a plonker isn't he?".
Well done Fudgerelli. Enjoy it while it lasts, as the glory of winning is but a mere fleeting joy in a world of County pain and anguish.
Apologies to those who didn't make the podium, it's nothing personal (except in Maccy's case for picking on Duds!) it is just that the calibre of entry this week was extremely high indeed.
You're all winners in my eyes*
* except Maccy
Just kidding bud. Besides, you just (jointly) won Heavener of the Year. Any more trophies and you'll have to ask Mrs Macc to move out to make space for them.

And finally, thanks to Lennie for producing another fine limerick for us to ponder and (insert name of Heavener) for choosing me to judge this week. I shall never forget you.

Cheers for the silver, mate! Congrats to fudgie, a worthy winning entry. Also, cheers to Lennie for keeping us entertained with these, it really must be hard to think of one of these every week. A superb display of consistency, wit and talent. Sir, I salute you! Good to see j8hatter having a bash, but the closing line has to rhyme with the first two, matey. Please have a pop at the next one, it was good to see someone else having a go at this great game. Last but not least, thanks to Sandy for his excellent wisdom. However, upstage me with your two-part judgement will ya?!
