Ullo !! No other words to greet you beginning with U. Utter uselessness.
Ultimate underhandness, unwieldy upheaval or unfolding unusual upsets. Upstaging United and urbane uncanny unctions. Yes, it's Week U (nearly there folks, work with me on this one).
All yours.
Downey to decide the donation of the Mantle of Brilliance.

There's Only One Steve Uzelac!
Go on then, Steve, you're on your own lad, there's nobody else in your team.

The Biggest Robbery In Football History - Man United - 1978
If it still irks me after all these years, what must it be like for those County Heroes who wore the Shirt that night at Old Trafford?
Certainly one of my proudest moments as a County supporter.
One day, lads. One day.

There's Only One Steve Uzelac! Go on then, Steve, you're on your own lad, there's nobody else in your team. Billy Upton and Syd Urwin might have something to say about that, Rog. On second thoughts, perhaps not! They are in the original County Heaven...

'They're in the team!' said a relieved and much happier, Steve Uzelac.
Great find, Macc

No worries, Rog.
In fact, Billy Upton made it into our CHIEF hall of fame - on the basis of what was discovered about him at the time. He probably deserves a CHAOS entry in his own right - having been one of the 'Great County Mavericks You Never Saw'! Here's the piece I wrote about him for CHIEF:
Described in the local rags from the 1890s as an "old war horse... who served the Club so well", old 'Uppers' merited a testimonial tribute of sorts when the crowd passed a hat around before a game so as to send him off with a few quid when he retired. He sounds quite a character, too - once kidding a journalist, desperate for a story, that he had been sacked by County. Mind you, he was pretty hacked off, and had some explaining to do, when his fake yarn made it into cold print!

(For the record, I've been working on this on and off for quite a few weeks! The same conclusion is still reached: I need to get out more, but I hadn't realised how many I'd got until I copy and pasted them all into this post!)
